Have to agree. Don’t see “racial stereotype” as much as I see “socially significant”. Everyone under 30 now has a tat somewhere and yeah, I am interested in more culturally diverse characters as long as they are written well.

I was actually not all that impressed. They took the same Judge Dredd helmet, stuck it on another dude, made the look more gritty in appearance than the Stallone movie and are basically making it a very serious take on that character.
For shit like that, it will be up to the writers whether it sucks or not. For me right now, this is still a rental. It takes a movie like Spiderman to get me to buy a ticket.
The new Spidey does look better so far.
