I just got The Watchmen Blu Ray and the director’s cut has 24min of unseen footage. I haven’t seen it yet at all so I hope it was worth the price.

The extras has a scene of a someone’s death that I really wish they didn’t cut out of the movie. It would have fit really well in the movie, but I guess they just ran up against the absolute time limit and had to start cutting.[/quote]

It was Hollis Mason’s death scene and it should have been left in the theatrical cut.

I thought the extra scenes were worth it. It’s one of the few director’s cuts that I thought was truly better than the original and the extra scenes just added to the overall story.

I know I said not to buy it yet, but I couldn’t pass up the exclusive packaging.

And yes, I’m still going to buy the ultimate director’s cut in December.

I got the Blu Ray with the digital copy. I watched part of the digital copy at the gym, and the entire movie on the Blu Ray yesterday, and felt like there were a couple of little bits early on that were in the BRD that weren’t in the digital copy.

Anyone else notice this? It’s entirely possible that I just missed the bits while at the gym, but I really thought there were a couple of extra bits in the Comedian’s funeral, and when Dan leaves Laurie in the cab.

Who are the chicks from the new GI Joe movie?

The ginger is hot. I like the black haired chick a bit more.

Yes, that’s Sienna Miller.

Scarlett is played by Rachel Nichols.

Cover Girl is played by Karolina Kurkova.

This movie was great. It took me a while to get through it since it is 3 hours long for this director’s cut, but it deserved any praise it gets.

I don’t even want to see the theatrical version.

So they can’t get an Arabic dude to play an Arabic video game character? Jeez.

Silly…they are ALL terrorists…and Americans want Caucasian actors in EVERYTHING or else they won’t pay to see it.

Just look at how well Dragonball turned out…

So far I’ve finished Infamous and Prototype and was making my way through Overlord 2 until I got sidetracked by downloading FF7 from the PS3 store. Waiting for the GOTY edition of FO3 containing the expansion packs that have been 360 exclusives for now. Darksiders: Wrath of War looks like a combination of Infamous/Prototype/God of War. Can’t wait for it!

Looks interesting. It doesn’t really look like Infamous or Prototypes though…more like God of War mixed with some anime style with a twist on The Bible. There is enough in Revelations to fill this out if they stick to it but my guess is, they are just using the characters and will fall short of giving us something that will have any deeper message at all.

Prince of Persia(PS3): a platforming game where you can’t die. Now I’ve seen everything.

That game sucked so much ass, they should hand out a straw and plastic butt cheeks with every purchase.

LOL! One of the best lines ever on these forums! LOL

New Borderlands trailer is up on Youtube.

This game should set a new bar for the FPS/RPG mixed genre. Fallout 3 and Mass Effect are great games but the rpg side is stressed more than the running and gunning. Plus you won’t have to roam the wastelands alone. 3 of your buddies will get to join in. Gun count is up to 87 bazillion, though that may not be the official number.

They omitted having the player go needlessly to a load screen after each death. No different than a checkpoint, vita-chamber, or any other auto-save feature seen in the last 5-10 years. If you miss a jump then you miss the jump and have to redo it, you just don’t have to go back to a load screen.

If you consider Tomb Raider: Underworld or Assassin’s Creed platformers then I guess this is a platformer too. I think of it as video parkour. Overall I like it. Plus I get to play as Altair until Assassin’s Creed II comes out.

Just like playing Tomb Raider: Underworld but with boss battles.

Balls, so much multiplayer, so little time.

No, it was NOTHING like Tomb Raider. In Tomb Raider you actually have to think through puzzles. POP was nothing but redundant moves with scenery that looked EXACTLY the same on each level. I gave that game a good run just to see if it would get better…but it didn’t. It was boring and repetitive.

How the hell can you compare this to Tomb raider? I’ve played TR since the very first game on PS1.

It’s not even the fact that you can’t die, or the relative ease of the acrobatic manoeuvres. It’s the mind-numbing monotony of it all. Also, there were very few places where you had to perform a long chain of moves without error. If there are no lows in a game, no frustration so to speak, then there are no highs, no feeling of achievement, which is what they sell anyway.
