I just sold my Nikon D300 for possibly a D700. How is this Canon?
…it truly is a next generation camera. A 21mp full frame cmos sensor that excells at high ISO values and shoots full HD video. Watch this video to get a sense of it’s capabilities: Images Of Western Australia's Kimberley on Vimeo There are areas that can be improved, and the camera really only reaches it’s full potential with expensive L lenses, but nevertheless, i’ll be having fun with this one for a long time…

So you have one then? That’s a really impressive camera. A friend of mine bought the Sony A-900 24MP DSLR, so I had a chance to play with that last year before I sent it on to him. These new camera’s are incredible, shame I could never use them to even 1/4 of their full potential.
Another one of my friends is a photographer by profession and he has one of the high-end EOS models too (can’t remember if it’s the 1D or the 5D Mark II). Check out some of his work if you’re interested - http://imagination.co.za.
If any of you are like me and constantly wash / destroy your jump drives, you should really check out the corsair flash survivor… It is water proof to 200 meters, I backed over it with my car to see if i would crush it (still unscrews fine) and have washed in 3 times in a front load washer to see how it would do… Had it for 6 months now and love it…

They should have used that in the movie Hulk.
Someone needs to explain to me sometime how Bruce Banner swallows a flash drive, changes into THE HULK, and then casually coughs it back up later unharmed and ready for download.

Aaaaaah, movies.
it also comes with a metal chain (think dog tags) to hang it from your neck, if you spin it fast enough it really hurts when you get hit with it… my friends daughter nearly broke his nose with it being a ninja…

…yes, i got one. I’m very happy with it, altough the learning curve is steep, i like the challenge. I had a look at your mate’s work, and i like it a lot. Some photographers are able to capture something more than just images, they also capture [a] feeling and emotion. I’d give a testicle to get to that level!
…btw, a coworker of mine intends to buy a LED t.v. and he found a 50’ for 1950 euro’s here in Holland. Perhaps you could consider importing one?

Yeah, figuring one of those out takes time. Mastering it takes years. He’s still young 25 or so), he’s still got lots of growing to do in that field.
Hmmm, that is very tempting - I suspect the import duties would probably make it more or less the same price though. Either way, it’s not the best time for me as I have a ton of other expenses at the moment. Thanks for the heads-up.
It looks like that age old video game, might be one of the first one’s to ever come out, is being turned into a movie. After a bidding war that was won by Universal, the film will be directed by Lorenzo Bonaventura who’s latest ventures include Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and the soon-to-be-released G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. The problem with this movie is that it has no plot as of yet, since it’s just a game. Should be interesting.

Asteroids…Skipped alot of classes to play that game, ahh good times.
Just picked up “Prototype” yesterday…wow, great game so far.Picking up cars and throwing them at choppers never gets old.
Trust me, if you’d played Infamous first, you would realize quickly how weak it is. I also doubt it will hold your attention long. It is essentially The Hulk video game only with a human looking hulk and a few more powers. New York city isn’t done well either. the Spiderman games have all done a better job at recreating that city.
For the record, I finally beat Infamous as a good guy. The entire storyline was decent enough for me to want to finish the game…something few gamed make me really want to do.
I played the demo for Infamous and liked it but my son talked me into prototype.First time playing a game like this so it’s novel to me(flying up walls) but yeah I have seen better city scapes. His buddy has infamous so when I finish this we’ll trade and compare.
I also got motoGP 08.Valentino Rossi is the greatest rider of this generation hands down.Racing at Laguna Seca this weekend actually…whoops off topic.

Damn PS3 and it’s exclusive titles…there’s only a couple games that I’ve completed on the 360, and seeing as we have similar taste in games I want to give this a shot.

Gonna be keeping my eye open for PS3 deals…
There is consistent pressure on Sony execs to drop the price of the PS3, and this August you just might see it. There are rumors going around that you might see a $100 price drop on the 80g version, going from $399 to $299. PS3’s problem is price, competitors are just cheaper and that is killing the sales and inevitably the progression of PS3.
Even game developers and their companies are insisting for a price drop, you just might see, keep your eyes open this August. If the $100 price drop happens, you can probably get a really good deal on Ebay too, since their prices will also have to drop.

One of the other reasons you might see a price drop is because the rumors are that the PS3 slim is currently in production and should be releasing soon.
I couldn’t find the article I read where it said it was currently in production. It might have been a video from IGN. I tried finding it, but it appears to have been pulled off Youtube.
The DC animated film Green Lantern: First Flight is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray this month.
Not one to rest on their laurels DC is hard at work on the next animated film Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. Basically a massive piece of Krypton is heading towards Earth. Not exactly good news for the Man of Steel, however its great news for the now President of the U.S. Lex Luthor who still has an old score to settle. Batman and Superman team up to stop the meteor, and Lex Luthor uses all the power of the federal government to stop them. This movie will pretty much be the superhero equivalent of that old school yard game “Smear the Queer”. Superman and Btman against everybody else hero and villain alike.
Comic Book Spoiler*************
In the comic book the asteroid was the mechanism to bring Supergirl back to the DC Universe, so there could be a sequel to this movie in the future.

That’s the first Superman/Batman trade I picked up. Really a fun book, even if quite abit of t is out-of-continuity now.

Any guy anywhere will do anything for a great set of tits. Darth Vader is going pink at the San Diego Comic-Con to show his support for curing breast cancer.
Why the fuck won’t this happen in the US? Oh yeah, because the telcos here have us by the fucking balls. Fuck the US market.
What I’m curious about the is the claim of universal compatibility; yes, the chargers will be micro-USB, but that does not mean the amp rating is the same for all phones (though, it should be within the same range, no?). I know this because I’ve tried to charge my Razr with a Blackberry Curve charger. My phone says, “Incompatible Charger” and won’t charge.
