Guy’s help me out. I fucking hated ACIII. But I’m pretty sure I’d love ACIV, but I feel bad about buying the sequel to their boring ass game. Worth it anyway?

Dude IV is leaps and bounds above III.

Let me set the scene for you:

You’re cruising around in you Mother Fucking Pirate Ship when you spot a British and Spanish ship battling it out in the open seas. So what does a young pirate assassin do? Raids, boards, captures, and sinks both of course! What’s next, Oh I know, how about Great White Shark hunting…

Seriously, ACIV has all the core elements of Assassins Creed plus the naval combat, which is a huge upgrade imo.

And of course lots of this.

csulli if you’re on twitter, you can see some pics I’ve posted of ACIV (Twitter handle is usmccds0423).

Before anyone makes fun of me, I only post “share” pictures from PS4 so I can easily download them on my phone.

Alright dude next time ACIV is on a steam sale I’ll grab it

BTW If anyone likes tactical RPG’s, Fire Emblem Awakening is fucking awesome on the 3DS, and also there’s a new release on Steam called Banner Saga that is really sweet. Banner Saga has an incredibly cool, very dark, viking type setting. It’s made by three dudes who left Bioware after they started going in directions they didn’t like. Solid game devs.

Its only $30 on amazon. They have the steam download too.

Got it last night for the PS3. About 3 hours in and it is still entertaining me. The whole being a pirate/assassin thing is pretty dope.

Damn

Except for superman and wonder woman all the actors in that movie have been nominated or won oscars. Anyone know about Joaquin Phoenix, says hes rumored on imdb?

I loved AC1 when it came out, 2, and even liked brotherhood. But I lost interest after that as they became repetitive. I didn’t dislike 3, but it didn’t do much for me. I hated the sailing in 3 but when 4 came out I took a chance and got it. Like USMC said its miles ahead of 3 and the sailing is incredible. worth the buy

IMDb is user-submitted. It’s the norm for two actors to be listed in the same role. Eisenberg has been confirmed by Snyder.

If you imagine Zuckerberg, Gates and Murdoch were the same person with the combined wealth and resources, that’s what they’re aiming for with this version of Lex.

So, I bought an Xbox One. There is no doubt in my mind now, the PS4 is the better machine.

Maaaan I wish I had a PS4 :(.

I own both as well. The Xbox one has some cool gimmicks like the Kinect, but the PS4 is more powerful and more responsive than the Xbox. Both are new and have room to grow, but for sheer gaming, the PS4 is the obvious choice to me, outside of exclusives. Just my 0.02

Agree with this except I think the Sony exclusives are better (personal opinion).

The Xbox One is slower, period. And I don’t even mean vs. the PS4, it is slower than the 360 as well (I had a 360 that I really liked, but traded it in towards the One). Personally I think the interface took a step backwards (from the 360) as well. The menus feel clunky and basic things can’t be done (at least I can’t figure it out) like sending a voice message vs a text message. At first I thought the controller was a step back, but I’m starting to get use to it and I think it’s fine. The triggers are very sensitive (supposedly for racing games), however, they still use AA batteries. AA really? Also, and this is minor, but why is the One twice as big as the PS4 when it is less powerful? The giant power brick is also sweet…

It’s kind of funny, but the only thing I think the One has over the 360 and PS4 is the upgraded Kinect (although I still think it’s a gimmick at best). It’s neat to run my DirectTV box through the One and use the Kinect (or the One’s smart glass app) to control the TV. You just say “Xbox Espn” and it goes to espn, which is neat. Unfortunately it kinda blows at understanding/listening. The other issue is that sometimes mid game the Kinect will think you gave it a command and do Lord knows what. For example, a couple of times during a Call of Duty online match I’d say something into the mic, which is pretty much garbage by the way (not that the PS4s is great), and the Kinect did an internet search or pulled up my TV… Kind of annoying. You are constantly saying Xbox stop listening.

Otherwise, the graphic look about the same to me (in COD anyway, which I have on both PS4 and Xbone). I haven’t played anything else yet. I also don’t think Xbox has done enough for early adopters. On the PS4 I have a couple of free games that are pretty fun, I haven’t seen anything on Xbox yet. They might be there, but I haven’t seen it.

All in all I feel like the Xbox One is a very small step above the 360, if at all, while the PS4 is leaps and bounds above the PS3.

Sooo…

Not only did I aquire X-Com Enemy withing but also every additional DLC out there.

Worth every penny.

Takes X-Com Enemy Unknown to a different level.

I agree, I like the PS4 exclusives (like inFamous) at this time much more than Xbox (like Titanfall). I was just saying that other than any Microsoft exclusives someone had to have, the PS4 is better for gaming.

Gotcha

Anyone ever play Psychonauts on the original Xbox/PS2? Supposedly it was a cult classic. Picked it up tonight for a dollar on humblebundle.
