lol let me know how that goes
I’ve been looking for something to bridge the gap between Skyrim and Fall Out IV (if it ever comes out)!

I might pick it up. The wife will probably punch me square in the balls though.
Man I have just not had the time or energy to pick back up The Evil Within game I was playing. I need a day off to just play and drink whiskey

Well, this just happened…

Luckily I’ve got some time tonight and, of course, whiskey!

You son of a bitch…

Dragon Age looks sweet, but does anyone know if you have to install EA’s Origin service to run it on PC? I skipped Watch Dogs because I didn’t want to install Ubisoft’s annoying gaming service, and I would rather avoid Origin if possible.

Yeah, you’ll need Origin for new EA games on the PC.

There are EA games still on Steam, but those are older titles and I assume they’re still in place because of deals made before Origin.

Bummer. I guess I’ll just have to wait until February to get my epic RPG fix when the Witcher 3 comes out.

Dragon Age Inquisition:

So, I’ve played for about 5 hours or so and I’ve got to say it’s pretty damn good so far.

Good:
Graphic: The game looks incredible. Definitely has the next gen feel.
Scale: This game is massive. I’ve read it takes 100 hours for the main story and I can believe it. It’s hard to describe the size accurately because I’ve only unlocked about 4 areas and I haven’t fully explored a single one. It is probably every bit as big as Skyrim with the expansion packs and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s bigger.
Character: There are 4 races, hundreds of customization options, and multiple class settings. Plus 4 perk trees per class so lots of variations and play styles.
Gameplay The game is pretty simple to get into. Some of these types of games I swear take a PhD in gaming, but this is simple, but still enjoyable. Controls are solid for the most part with some minor annoyances (a lot of times you jump over loot because jump and loot are both x on the PS4).

Couple of other things neither good nor bad. I didn’t like the combat at first. I still am not a huge fan of it, but it’s easy enough to get use to. You command a 4 man fire team. You can either let them do whatever you pre-program them to do (attack, support, etc… there are default settings for each character). There are a lot of pre-set options to pick from. You can also control the entire party through a tactical camera (touch pad). This allows you to attack an archer with a mage for example. You can also use the D-pad to switch between characters at will, which is also kinda cool. What’s annoying is #1 you’re can’t move and attack at the same time and #2 there’s no dodge function. So if you want to attack you’re gonna get hit, period. Health potions replenish every time you fast travel or rest, but they’re also shared among your party. So the 4 of you go through potions quick and you can only rest at camps, which you establish throughout your exploration (they’re pre-determined locations on your map). You also move slow as fuck while in combat (party due to enemy effects and partially just because). It can be a little frustrating especially if you’re a slower character class (Like the giant).

All in all I would recommend the game if you like this sort of thing. It feels a lot like the Witcher series, Skyrim, etc… just with it’s own tweaks.

Oh and just so we’re clear, I was melted by that dragon while getting ya’ll that picture!

It’s a shame I’m really not a fan of Dragon Age style combat cause it looks great.

Co-op on Farcry is good but its a little bit shit in regards to how it rewards secondary players when taking fortresses.

Fucking Sony man. This is why we can’t have nice things…

The way you are describing the fighting actually turned me off the game. :frowning:

I thought it would be more like Skyrim crap.

Why and the fuck dont they hack Comcast for fucks sake.
Sony really why them?

Dragon Age: Inquisition sounds like the game that Bioware promised all along; an actual spiritual successor to Baldur’s Gate 2.

I’ll get it when I have more money.

It’s a hybrid of old-school RPG and newer hack and slash. It’ll depend on the difficulty level you play with.

I need to watch some game play footage.

Also, anyone going to go see the Star Wars 7 trailer this weekend?

Ahh it’s still fun. It’ll hold me over for a while anyway.

Far Cry 4 looks really good. So does the new Assassins Creed.
