Gatorade vs Powerade

What’s the difference?

One’s cheaper, I know that’s one.

this is just me but it seems that powerade is a lot more salty tasting

but thats just me

Pepsi and coke, whats the difference?

All the same Sh** with slight variation and loyalty on both sides. pick wat u like and think of more important things to worry about.

Thats just because Vitamin Water is a bully and powerade and gatorade don’t feel like fighting.

Id just check the labels some are flavors are sweetened with HFCS and others not they use Dex.

Ummm…is that good or bad? I just want to know which is best for post-workout

Correct me if I am wrong… but I thought Powerade may be sweetened with high fructose corn syrup or is that allsport… I get those two confused… gatorade to me taste good on a hot exhausted day but then again so does a white chocolate mocha iced from starbucks

You really think one will affect your post-workout state in a different way ? WOW…Post-workout nutrition has got so freaking ridiculous.

screw the gatorade sports drink for PW, gatorade nutrition shakes are where its at.

Thats what I think too. Not many people have their training and the rest of thier diet dialed in enough to worry about what kind of sugar is in their PWO. Personally I like to have a quick protein shake after lifting, then drink a beer.

Yes IMO HFCS and trans fats are right in the same category more for health reasons. Personally the two things I steer clear of

Powerade is carbonated and made by coke. Gatorade isn’t and I don’t know who it’s made by.

I thought all-sport was the carbonated one

They both contain HFCS. My local grocery started carrying bottled cytomax, which is a better option. Otherwise, buy a nalgene and a thing of powder from one of the companies which make sports drink formulas designed for actual athletic use.

Both pre-bottled versions contain HFCS.

The powder version of Gatorade uses maldextrin (Thats why it does not taste as sweet) So it is not a too bad choice post workout. If i am all out of dex I throw some in my PWO.

Vitamin water uses crystalline fructose, which is made from fructose enriched corn syrup (nice name for HFCS)

Jeez, this is alot of big words. I’ll just drink water and snort coke for Post workout nutrition.

I totally agree with the Vitamin Water proclaimers. However, I personally like using Gatorade with my creatine after my workout because of the Mg, Na and P (aka electrolytes) but also because the sugar helps to spike up my insulin levels after my workout so it helps to secrete more natural growth hormone.
