No I’m pretty sure that’s not the case. Most likely forensics is finding similar shells in very different cases, which utilized the same gun indicated via the unique barrel indentations that are left on bullet casings after said weapon is fired.
Sounds like the oldest trick in the book. Sell guns to both sides, and when they are down and out give them loans with high interest to both sides. Who says war isn’t profitable?
I so love the fact that I can go to my local Walmart and buy a huge freaking machete for $7 off a general rack, no one batting an eye, then skip over to Gander Mountain and buy a shotgun with nothing more than my driver’s license.
