I hear some people didn’t like FFVIII. While I got sick of the labor of drawing constantly, I did like the inovative feel. I hated that rhinoa bitch though. Anyone have thoughts on it?
I currently play Dark ages of Camelot(mmorpg),
Also battlefield 1942 is a regular game I play , with a bunch of guys who have servers and a teamspeak server as well.
I pittle around with neverwinter nights
and warcraft 3.
I used to play a mud back in 94 called final realms, played for years.
Thats what I moslty play these days.
I still have all those nifty blizzard games
and a few I would probably never load up again.
Anyone up for any of these give me a PM.

emckee,
Believe it or not, Rhinoa is a very popular character although I’m not too fond of her. I think she’s boring, and Squall was boring too. He was too whiny.
I like FFIX’s Dagger/Garnet much better. She’s one gutsy princess. And Zidane was a worthy hero.
Stella
I’ve already reserved a copy of Halo 2 - due out next February. Pretty sweet, huh?
The problem with Rhinoa which shows up in a lot of the FF games is that the love interest is always the weakest and frequently whiniest character. They have all of these cool female characters, but then the one the guy goes for is the needy one who usually has special secret powers or something.
Anyway…
I’ve seen that in a lot of FF games, although, even though she was kinda needy… Terra in FF3 was bad. When she’d transform, there was no stopping her. That’s probably my favorite FF game, Sabin’s Tiger Strike was the best move in the game, and Mog was fun. I really didn’t like Relm or Gogo much though.
In most of them the needy girl generally has some special power, like in 6, the girl was actually an esper. It’s the personality that bothers me though, why can’t it let you choose the tough and self confident char?
By the way, mogs do kick ass ![]()
Yeah, I was thinking 6, FF3 US is FF6 if I remember right. When she’s turn and start glowing, now why couldn’t they do a game like that in 3D.
emckee,
Esper girl…is it Celes? I really want to play FF6, but havent been able to find it. ![]()
Terra is the esper, she’s the one I was talking about earlier. Celes is a magic user infused at birth, not born with it. It didn’t really matter in that one who was actually a magic user, cause of the esper system, by the end if EVERYONE (except for uraru) wasn’t a magic user, then you’re pretty much out of luck in the final tower.
My favorite game genre is any type of FPS. I have an XBox right now and play Unreal Championship, RTC Wolfenstein and Timesplitters 2, which kicks ass. Trying to complete all those damn platinum challenges. When I get a little bit more cash I’ll definitely hook up on XBox Live.
Madden 2003 - I am the undisputed master. I can’t wait till’ 2004 and Ricky-my-main-man-Williams has the credit he deserves.
For those that liked FF, check out Suikoden II, and III. IMO the best console RPG’s out there.
What about Medal of Honor? That was a beautiful game. It took about 3 months out of my life. Underground was also good, the special missions were addictive. I liked Silent Hill too, but I found the story line a little wacky. Anyone looking forward to the Jax & Dexter sequel? P.S Although Metal Gear is one of my favs, to those of you that thought the ending was stupid ( where Liquid dies of Fox Dye), I would be forced to agree.
I play one game and one game only… That is Counter Strike. I play from 2-6 hours a day on it. It’s one of most popular team play games out on the market. It’s been around for years as well. Soccom actually got the idea from Counter Strike. In CS you are a first person shooter, with Terrorists vs Counter Terrorists. Each side has related guns. CT’s use Colt m4a1’s and mp5 navy’s. While Terrorists use AK-47’s and Sig Commando’s. As well as other guns.
Also each gun has a different rate of recoil. There for you can’t sit in one spot and hold down fire and blow heads of in a straight line. You actually have to have some skill to play and play good. You will probably never have the same thing happen exactly the same being that the only that stays the same is the level map but the players and there actions are always different cuz you are playing real life people.
There is also Online League Play…Where you actually have Teams called Clans…wich you do 5 on 5 matches. Almost like trying out for the basketball team and having a team…only online. They have a huge tournament called the CPL wich happens down in Texas 2 times a year. For CS the winning team can take home a couple of thousand dollars. I think last years CPL had 150,000.00 dollars in cash and prizes. This year there will be bigger prizes.
Espn may even have live coverage of it being that theres been debate as to wether or not Online games like that can be considered a sport? So the rumor was that ESPN would cover some of it. We’ll see. Also the best clans in USA have actually traveled to Japan and other countries for world tournaments. Check it out at www.counter-strike.net and www.caleague.com. It’s a Half Life modification. Look into it, once you try this first person shooter, nothing else will compare. Peace
