Anyone play PS2 or XBox in their spare time. It drives my wife nuts, but whenver I gt a chance to play, Its hard to stop. I started playing SOCOM for PS2 online about a month ago its unreal. I have mot played i about a two weeks and its about time for a fix
I used to play PS2 games and PS games. I dabbled into Tekken stuff (which I’m not too good at) and Final Fantasy series (played FF7-10). My favorite FF would be 7 & 9.
I also play games on computer, but they’re mostly RTS or hack-and-slash RPG like Diablo 2.
You know what…my ex got me PS2 for my b-day last November which was great. We broke up in Janurary and I rarely play it. Even when we were together, I didnt play it all that much. I always felt guitly if I played with it while she was home, so I would usually wait till she was gone to play it. But in the 5 months since she moved out, I have turned it on maybe 5 or so times. When I do play it…I am a HUGE Spyro the Dragon fan. I just think those games are a blast!
You can pick up the network adpt. for ps2 at best buy for about $30 and play many new games against people around the world. The cool thing about socom is it comes w/ a headset so you can talk to your team during play. If i pissed off, go online and Kill some people. its great relief.
I know how your wife feels. I have now moved the PS2 into the car. We have head rest monitors set up for the kids. PS2 is great because it is also a DVD player. Keeps them satisfied on long trips.
Now my husband is addicted to computer games. It was Unreal Tournament for a long time. (We also have UT II, but it isn’t as good.) Now he is playing Soldier of Fortune II and Grand Theft Auto III. I am a game widow. (At least I get to see him in the gym.)
Spyro the Drago. Isn’t that a kiddie game? My son is four and plays that. It does look fun though.
I used to be a HUGE video game freak, but in the past few months i’ve been working too much, spending too much time with the girl (although she can kick my ass in dead or alive 3)
What you see here is a 65in. 4:3 Sony HDTV with Sony Dolby DTS surround and DVD, Playstation 2, Gamecube, XBox, all with 4 controllers, network adapters (for online play), and even GunCons for acrade shooting action.
I also have a stout gaming PC w/128MB video running into the TV and IR keyboard and mouse so I can play my 1st person shooters, RTS, and browse the net (and TMag) all on the big screen from my couch.
I’ve had xbox for a year and a half, and just got ps2. I have to say that xbox has better graphics, but ps2 has sooo many more games. I loooove playing video games, it’s such a stress relief. I do agree, Splinter Cell on the xbox is one badass game. Socom on ps2 is so much better than ghost recon for xbox.
ok i love to play games on the ps2 but i’m having a problem that a lot of people i know is too. the damn thing won’t go past the cd or memory car screen. my bro and a few of my friends had this happend to them and not very long after, no more ps2. it PISSES ME OFF! sometimes it will work and sometimes it won’t. any body else have this problem? i’ve found that pretty much after 2 years the damn thing don’t want to work anymore. ok rant over thanks
by the way agathos, i’m sooooo jealous of you. now u’r set up would be the SHIT!!!
Never Winter Nights. Diablo 2 was good. Although Stella would kick my ass with her character.
Enter the Matrix. Nothing is like running up a wall and flipping off it while shooting two guns upsidedown in slo-mo with bullet trails everwhere. Ahhhhhh the sweet sweet satisfaction of a super kung-fu bullet time ass whipping! Ciao.
Jollywhite, I was able to find a fix for the problem you are having. I went to e-bay and searched on Playstation 2 and found a guy out of FL that was selling the instructions for the fix at $5 a pop, which is a lot cheaper then sending it in. I am going to try it out this weekend and I will let you know how it goes.
Don’t challenge me to p2p on Diablo2 unless your character is at least level 75 with very good items. My Amazon has crappy items, but she fights with brute force, and she does very well if I may say so.
And it does make me feel good to kill bosses for fun.
To Stella,
do you play D2 online with PC or just on PS2? I haven’t played in a while, but I have a couple of accts and some pretty bad ass characters. My favorite char is my sorc, but she is no good against zons, even lower level. Zons are just out of balance, but that is about to change after the new update patch (1.10), which may not apply to you since you are not on a PC. If you can play PC gamers then msg me and I will join in with you some night.
I looooove 1st person shooters. Medal of Honor, Soldier of Fortune Double Helix, and the creepiest one I have ever played was System Shock 2. Also liked Warcraft, Starcraft, Command and Conquer, and games of that ilk.
Cool. Didn’t know that there were so many other gamers in here!
I saw many sunrises while playing Total Annihilation. That game totally rocked. Kingdoms, on the other hand, was a major, major disappointment.
There was nothing quite like being so involved in the game that you completely lose track of time. “Oh shit, I’ve got to go to work in 2 hours!”.
Diablo 2 was an excellent game as well. The single player version was a little too short for my liking, but overall it was a great game. We played it at work several times.
I love games. I’ve got a thing for Neverwinter Nights (been working on my own module) and even though I’ve beaten them 4 or 5 times, I still play System Shock 2, Halflife, and Clive Barker’s Undying all the time, I just wish they’d done multiplayer on those. Undying is the single scariest game I’ve ever played, but I loved it. I did Diablo 2 for a long time, but cheaters kinda got old. I’m glad Blizzard is workin on that. I can’t wait for Halflife 2 and Doom 3, I just upgraded my PC for them, so the old one is hooked up to the TV now as my windows 98 games/music server/tivo box. It’s a fun setup, definitely nice to set up for multiplayer games. I’ve got my gamecube hooked into it (I wanted zelda BAD) and I want to get an X-box next.
