do we really need “proof” raw milk is superior to the processed milks? Come on man, use common sense. I for one have never tried raw milk, nor do I think it will make a magical difference, but from a health standpoint it’s just logic IMO. Good point about the muscle gains though

Superior how? Like everything else in reality it will have its good points and bad. Acting like Raw milk is “superior” has no basis in any proven study I’ve seen yet. The studies posted in the last thread were from questionnaires. I see HUGE people who drank milk…and tons of not so huge people now finding a problem with it.
Took 20 yrs (made that up, maybe close) for studies to prove organic produce contains more nutrients than conventional, when logic could have easily told us this.

I’m not waiting around for studies. I’m looking at all of the huge people who got that way on milk. I’m looking at myself who got that way on milk. What do you have to show for raw milk gains?

My issue with raw milk, besides cost is safety. there are huge risks with raw milk and not everyone wants to take them. Is raw milk potentially healthier? I believe so yes. Can raw milk kill you? Yes. It’s rare but it is more likely then in pasteurized milk.
I think I’ll stick with my whole milk for now and, as mentioned, if the fat gains become to much I’ll back it off. Yes there are healthier and more effective choices but for now this is the easiest thing.
I got the answers I was looking for; many people have done this with minimal fat gain.
As far as digestion milk (or any other dairy) has never given me any kind of issue. Sometimes when I drink it with certain foods, but those are foods that I risk indigestion alone anyway.

I have drunk and i know people who drink ‘raw’ milk straight from their cattle. They have yet to die from it.

Is hating milk the trend now?
I think the trend is the realization that foods should be eaten as close to their natural states as possible. The inclusion of milk as raw instead of homogenized and pasteurized is just part of that. It stems into beef being grass fed and finished, food being organic, eating whole fruit instead of drinking the juice, ect.
EDIT:
And as stated, this is not for superior muscle gains just health in general.

All right, I’ll admit that my post made me sound paranoid. The truth is, it all depends on the cleanliness and control of the dairy. I would probably take that risk, but I would not pay $5 L. for milk. It’s that simple. I looked into, had plans to buy it, got the costs and said f*** that. Never mind the $500 deposit for the cow share and gas for travel time.

I got one for you… its called DEAD. A Dozen Eggs A Day. (we are shooting for provoking acronyms right?) Whats your relationship with eggs? Five dozen from Costco can range in costs about 6-10$ depending on your location. Granted these are the “low quality” type. I would mix in the organic omega 3 every other day or so… Do this for a month and you may get some sick gains! Seriously, At least I did. I never wanted to even touch a GOMAD let alone a single oz of that stuff from what my background in anthropology has taught me along with certain heath aliments that have been alleviated since giving up milk and wheat products (Acne anyone? what about severe IBS?), be it raw or not, personally my body doesn’t agree with cows milk. Try DEAD. This thread has insipid me to give it another round for a month! (but this time I plan on using 100% organic omega3s now that I have a decent job) Anyone else ever try this?
ps. possible downside lovely Egg Farts, naturally but in my experience less likely if you go organic HQ omega3. also, I scrambled and fried, but majority I boiled and stocked the fridge.

Do you eat 12 eggs in addition to your regular meals? The milk is in addition to regular food so you add in 2000ish calories extra, a dozen eggs is 900ish calories.
Also, have you ever tried raw milk? Most people who are lactose intolerant find that they don’t have problems when the natural enzymes are left intake.

Totally kidding on the milk thing:)
Yes 12 eggs in addition to regular meals, similar to the milk program. I was doing 3 meals a day plus the dozen eggs spread throughout. No I have not been “lucky” enough to have access to raw milk where I live, however I am very cautious about milk following an ELISA test. Although in theory issues with dairy may be associated with wheat in the diet. BUT I cut them out together, and really have no desire at this time to test if raw milk produces issues with myself because of what ELISA has told me. Perhaps if I am feeling remarkably froggy in the future I would possibly give it ago should I find a fine source of the raw stuff…but honestly milk makes me uneasy because of my past history with the stuff.
Yeah it would be hard for me to down another 12 eggs every day on top of meals. Liquid is easier and even then GOMAD is a challenge some days. A couple of times I’m chugging almost a litre back right before bed just to get it into me.
I could see it working for people who could do it though. Also, more work then GOMAD!
