How old are you?
I’m 17.
How would I set up a 3x3 program?
3x3 for deadlift, squats, and bench press each session for three times a week and strive to add 5 pounds each workout?[/quote]
You’re 17 and you’re worried they’re going to cut your allowance and stop buying you clothes and protein. Have you tried getting a job to fund yourself?
Search up Korte’s 3x3. That’s what people are referring too. Its more complex than your idea of 3x3. Its basically and 8 week cycle with 4 weeks of moderate weight/moderate reps and 4 weeks of Heavy lifting.

get a job, try working for a supplement shop too. I hadn’t had to buy a serious amount of protein powder in a long time.

Is that like gaining money without your bank account getting bigger?
Pavel writes some great stuff about this. Keep with the heavy lifting, low reps, but also limit the sets.
Like someone else said, using a 3 sets of 3 approach with 90% of your 1rm would probably work. The intensity is high but the volume is low.
just started starting strength, low reps, full body, heavy compounds, can’t go wrong.

Starting strength is a GREAT program for mass gains in a beginner to intermediate…
are you going to get a job?
