I was just wondering, could something like mass gainer be used as a meal replacement?
Beer could be used as a meal replacement…doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.
Most “mass gainers” are loaded with a bunch of crap.
Personally, I blend my own shake each morning for breakfast:
Metabolic Drive
Oatmeal
Cottage Cheese
Banana
Blueberries
Brocolli Tops
Fish Oil
I would suggest doing something like JN7844 suggests. The exceptions that it would be ok to use a gainer for a meal replacement is immediately after your workout and then the next meal.
Outside of those 2 meals, I wouldn’t do it.
In a pinch there is nothing better. I had a job where the only break I had was to go to the bathroom in 6 hours, and sipping on a weight gainer shake really helped.
Making your own shake is best though, tastes better imo

In addition to using it pwo, I’ve also used it as part of my breakfast on higher carb days. My breakfast shake is usually 2 scoops of protein with 2/3 cup of oatmeal, blended. On high carb days, I simply substitute 1 scoop of protein for 1 of weight gainer (full serving is 3 scoops).
On most days, a few scoops of Metabolic Drive Complete with 2 cups of milk is one of my meals.
