Fury Fx6 or The Metal Pro Poly

I am looking into my first shirt. Which would be easier to learn?

Are you an arched or flat back bencher?

flat

Then you definitely do not want an F6. You would want a regular Fury.

My experience has been that flat backers have trouble with pushing the weight back into the uprights b/c of sleeve angle on an F6.

I have never used a Metal Poly, and honestly have never worked with someone who does, so I can’t be much help in regards to that.

I do, however, have a reasonable understanding of the Fury and how setting it up and altering it affects performace, so if you have any specific questions, fire away.

I think someone was comparing their Fury to a Metal IPF Bencher on EFS Q&A. Said they were getting about 10lbs or so more out of the Fury. Dave recommended they have the chest taken in an inch, he said this was a problem he found with the Metals and was trying to get fixed. Everyone I have ever talked to who has used the Fury has said nothing but good about it. I have my own coming in the next week or so, and will be more than happy to share my experience after I start working with it. From what I understand the f6 is more for the big archer…

Im not really familiar with the FURY however the Metal Pro series is a good shirt if your an above average bencher, theyre very difficult to get on and alot of people have trouble getting weights to touch…you may want to look into having a custom one made from Metal on elitefts.com

you can select the type of material in the chest, arms, collar etc. it seems like a real way to go

The F6 is designed specifically for benchers with an extreme arch. Are those your only options? The Metal Pro is a great shirt but typically not a beginner shirt.

I ordered a fury today. Most of the feedback I got was that the fury is a great shirt to learn quickly, and a better fit for me since I don’t bench with a huge arch.

Good choice! Several members of my gym use the Fury and like it a lot. Easy to learn and pretty easy to get on since the back is loose. Good luck with it!
