I find it funny that some people are so scared to be labeled racist that they intentionally go out of their way to pretend like race doesn’t exist. There is a difference between saying “he acts that way because he’s black,” and saying “a larger percentage of black people act that way.” It’s a subtle difference, but there is a difference. Our brains work by noticing trends, or statistics, and categorizing them.
If I were to ask you the question, “The only thing you know about this man, is that he’s in jail, is he white or black,” and told you I’d pay you a million dollars if you got the answer right, which would you choose? Or would you refuse to answer, on the basis that it’s a racist question, and you can’t judge race by whether the person has been in prison or not? If you would either not answer, or say white, then you’re an idiot. I would say “black” in a heartbeat. That doesn’t make me racist, that means I acknowledge statistics.
Certain groups tend to have certain characteristics about them, and you can argue that it’s culture, not race that causes this (which I tend to agree with), the fact is that culture and race are tied into each other a great deal. It’s not racist of me to point out that I see a pattern of black people being louder in public than other races in America, It’s not racist of me to point out that more often than others, white people often act awkward as hell around other races, and tend to act more uptight in general. Observation of trends does not equal racism, it is closer informal statistics.
I can’t wait for someone to call me racist against blacks, me being a black male and all, I must despise all of those dark skinned fellows! I find it interesting though, that as much as people hate anything that they perceive as racism, people don’t mind the ethnic slur “guido” at all on this site, and in fact, are quick to make fun of them.
This certainly isnt a phenomenon that is not cut upon racial lines. Being from NYC there is so many cultural enclaves and I have seen this shit all too often, I have seen Whites, Blacks, SPanish, Indians etc do it and the one common denominator is that they have been douchebag wannabe tough guy TEENAGERS, I really get tempted to run over their heel or clip em with my side view mirror. What’s funny is that it took somebody to say something negative and stereotypical about white people for you to respond. And this is without mentioning the fact that Prof.X wasn’t even being serious. He was just using the same failed logic as the OP. Yet you still took offense. Interesting…almost sad.

It’s not a black thing, it’s a lazy thing. I live in mostly a white area. woemn tend to do this hurry up to get in frony of your vehicle and go slow now that you see them. they also love to jaywalk, this is the 40-80 yo crowd btw. Teenage boys mostly get moving. Soemtimes upper grade school seem to get an attitude, not stopping usually changes it.

Its true that a lot of inner city black guys do that. A couple of months ago I was in boston, my mom was driving. Anyway this piece of shit black guy walks across the cross walk is holding up the left lane, while me and my mom are in the right lane and almost hit him. My mom was pissed of course honking the horn and what does he do, he keeps walking slow. They do that shit because they want to get hit, and then get money for their inujuries. You have to realise these are the people who live in the projects living off the system.
I never said my life was hard, but I what I meant by living off the system was people who expect something for nothing. My real dad, his brother’s family expected money to be given to them and would complain about being poor but they did absolutely nothing, would not even think of work. My dad’s brother I guess was complaining about not having money and their mother offered to pay him to mow her lawn, he would not do it lol. I have no pity for people like that and the sad thing is there are A LOT of people like that.

It’s because white bums are often crazy and nuts to begin with before they started on the T bird. I live in mostly a white area with some increasing Hispanic population. the amount of blacks is increasing and unfortunately a lot of of the lower socio economic levels and probably not going to contribute much.
So now I’ll get to enjoy white bums and much more diversity. I think it’s just great that we’ll have nitwhits and bums of all races. gotta love the diversity.
The problems aren’t racial, it’s nitwhit, regardless of race. In our area which is economically down, we’re not going to get to cherry pick from new citizens in regards to ability to say not be a waste product and say work.
