That thread is awesome. Never seen that one before
This Thread got bumped and Chris rinses the fuck out of someone as usual which is entertaining.
So Iāve been an avid T-Nation reader for some years now. I went from your typical 17 year old āarticle broā, to the present day, where a lot of the knowledge has been applied and tested and, frankly, thrown out (this mostly applies to other BB+Strength websites, so no worries!). Reiterating on the previous sentence, T-Nation quickly became the first site I checked for articles, and then the ONLY site. I found the no-bullshit, zero tolerance approach of some of the coaches to be very appealing.

Dat GIF in the reply tho. Nice
Glad to hear it. We repost older articles because there are something like 3,200+ articles in the T Nation archive and plenty of them are just as useful today as they were when they first appeared, and there are tons of readers who havenāt seen them yet.
Not actually true. If older articles are re-published with a new date, theyāve generally been re-edited and/or revised. There are still brand new articles coming in regularly, several per week actually.
Pretty sure youāre referring to tips.ā¦

Oh man, I wish I could remember the one where OP posted about Greenās book being in the $1 bin. That thread is legendary.
*Was actually Nate Green
@LankyMofo you stilla round? Do you remember what this thread was called?
Awww shit, found it
I was walking through the Sioux Falls mall when I found a copy of Nateās book. I was so excited, that I had my wife take a picture of me with it. Unfortunately for Nate, I was too cheap to buy it.

Letās do that
This is a thread that should have happened a long time ago. RV blesses us with so many profound nuggets of gold mined from the deepest trolling mines ever seen on this page that his best work cannot go unrecognized or preserved in one thread for easy reference.
I encourage everyone to cull your favorite RV nugget and copy/paste it here

Hi guys. Actually Im doing working out routine of 4 days a week. It basically is. Monday 1 leg excercise, and the rest chest and triceps excercies. Thursday 1 leg excercise, and the rest back and biceps excercise. Thursday 1 leg excercise and the rest chest and triceps excercises. Friday 1 leg excercise and the rest back and biceps excercise.
My question is, as now I have started a roid cycle, is there any problem with training legs every work out day? I just ask because as with roids you trainā¦

Here,ā¦ the infamous pre-exhaust thread from several years back, where a certain former poster seemingly pretended to not understand how pre-exhaust training weakens the naturally dominant muscle group in a compound movement and argued for hundreds of pages.
Iāve actually had several of these types of old threads recommended to me lately by the forum, and in rereading them, I still chuckle and shake my head.

As multiple muscles work in conjunction on a compound lift, the one that is naturally stronger (larger?) would require more stress (reps? weight? TUT?) to stimulate a response before the smaller ones. [/quote]
? If I am training chest, THAT is my goal. Why would I care about the triceps?

So in the case of chest pressing, an isolation movement such as DB flyes would target specifically the pecs, creā¦

Wow, that was hard to read. Itās a shame Zraw doesnāt post anymore.
Hey guys,
Been in the boards for a few weeks. I created a log where I note my progress on doing full body workouts daily.
Today I wanted to discuss muscle protein synthesis, from now on Iāll refer to it as mps.
For those who donāt know mps is the process by which your muscles grow and its activated post workout.
Several studies have shown that mps is maximized 24 hours post exercise, after which there is a quick drop off until it returns to baseline 36 hours post exercise.
Hereās one studyā¦
Just gonna put this here before that thread balloons up. Bunch of Bro science bullshit.

Hey Duke, just try to keep an open mind buddy. Especially if you still plan to be gym owner and PT, you will come across people like this and like that Wintergirl quite often. You can still learn from people like this but not if you just shut them down without trying to see it from their point of view.
You have a strong spirit and good intentions most of the time, but part of being a good person is making other people feel worthwhile. Itās easy to shut someone down if you donāt agree with them, it takes effort to see things from other peopleās point of view.
