HAHA!! Good! I have a few more pics to share. I’ll be sure to get some good ones when I get home.

EDIT

Gym is open today!!! GAHHHHH!!! It felt like a million years.

Goals for my short time left in AHHHHFRREEEKKAAAAAA:

  1. Hit (and thouroughly OWN) all my singles for meet prep. (Looking to set new all time PR in DL=475 day after tomorrow is the biggest for me. Shooting for a 505 DL at the meet in April.)

  2. Continue to clean up my diet

  3. Do more mobility work. (I’ve slacked and I can feel it in my hips/knees.)

  4. Kill a lion with my bare hands. (If the chance arises.)

TRAINING(FUCKING FINALLY!!!):

Walk/Warm-up (Felt awkward since all the equipment is new. More on that later)

PRESS

135x5 (Still felt off weird rack)

155x3 (blaaahhh)

165x3 (felt good and tight, stopped super duper early.)

CHINS

35lbx20 (nothing fancy, just getting a little work in)

BENCH

225x3 sets of 6 (May have done 7 on sets 2 and 3 but it felt really good)

fin!

NOTES:

Wasn’t supposed to be a training day, but the gym was FINALLY open so, I wanted to go get some work in. Everything in there is Hammer Strength. I fucking hate it. The MWR decided to get the open top racks with the chin attachments that sit directly over the racked barbell. This made doing chins and press at the same time more complicated than if it was a full rack with the chin bar in the front. LAAAMMMMEEE!!! The equipment is set up so sporadically I spent half my workout walking back and forth looking for shit. The “J hooks” are built into the rack, so you’re stuck with the three or so inch spacing between them no matter your height. The hooks just so happen to be BARELY within a comfortable range for squats. I’m not gonna like that! It’s way too crowded and I’m glad I’m headed home to lift in my old gym soon. Only a few more sessions here before it’s time to LEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE!!! The benches are ‘OK’. The hooks aren’t adjustable, which I don’t like, but the pads aren’t slick at all and I can really dig my shoulders in and get a good leg drive on my bench.

Deadlift tomorrow and I’m super stoked about hitting that 475. I really have been looking forward to breaking the 500 barrier and I’m getting so close I can smell it!! It smells a lot like bacon wrapped aspargus and sirloins on the grill. Probably my favorite smell… FOOD!!!

Tough guy photo attached for toughness!!! (my face looks kinda fat here) :frowning:

Hey tough guy!!

hey

Dude texas looks f*cking awesome. I cant stand gyms that arnt set up properly for lifting heavy weights. And i can only imagine the whole switch is messing with you… Good luck achieving your Dead lift by april, I know youll do it.

I like this quote from the World wide Web  haha
Stop being negative, instead of â??Why donâ??t I have something?â??, say to yourself â??Why am I so good at working hard for what I want and achieving my goals?â??

The one main thing wrong with MY gym is the benches on the bench press suck and you can’t get any leg drive or do any upper back diggage.

I’ll switch you benches and you can keep all your other shitty stuff, ha!

What ever happened to the good old fashioned squat cages? I miss the ones at my high school… My squat rack is the low point in my gym… theres only one :frowning: and i cant do top half squats (Not super important but…)

Also just remembered how the pull-up bar is sooo shitty. but thats enough complaining… at least im aloud to bang weights during my power cleans and dead lift sessions.

thank god for weight banging. I have access to bumper plates if i needed to really bang hard. hehe

Okage: I train at Wichita Falls Athletic Club. Mark Rippetoe’s gym.

Spockie: you can have whatever your heart desires. Just say the word.

MiMzzzzy: herrro!!!

yeah that is another plus about my gym. All of our equipment is so old, but it’s kinda the way it should be.
All that new happy pappy shit doesn’t seem very hardcore. And we have 3 platforms set up in a tiny gym that no one every uses so you kinda have the run of the place, it’s great!

I got the small gym and the old equipment. The hardcore feel, fuck LA fitness.

@Spock81 Amen brother

NOTES:

Got about 3 hours of sleep before work. That puts me at being up from 8PM (working 13 hours then lifting) to about 2PM, sleeping for 3 or so hours, getting up just before 6PM (working 13 or so hours from 9PM to 10AM then my DL session) in the past two days. On top of that, I think one of my co-workers is passing around a sickness due to his nasty-ass not being able to cover his stank mouth when he was sneezing the other day. I do feel like a cold is coming soon! FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

I decided to just get the session in because I have been set on this PR for a while now and I REALLY owned it. I took a video, but the focus sucked. It’s blurry and almost in line with the Patterson Big Foot video and the Zapruder film. But I got my PR and if you don’t like the video, SUCK IT!

I need to get more GHR work in. The lockout was the “harder” part of the lift and I’ve honestly been lazy w/GHR. Not gonna let that get my ass in trouble up on the platform. Gonna stick to moderate work loads but just more consistent. Maybe some extra sessions when I have time.

That’s all she wrote for today. Gonna take a little extended rest and try to kick this cold before it gets outta hand. Been downing OJ all night and I’ll take some Nyquil to finish the job. Good day today!

The top of the open rack. I despise this thing!

Sample Breakfast:

4 Eggs over sausage (This is usually 4 eggs+extra egg whites, veggies and cheese scrambled)

Fruit (varies)

Milk (water: not pictured)

Coffee! (MAN, I FREAKING LOVE THIS STUFF!!)

Bagle and PB eaten two hours after the main part and about 1 1/2 hours before training.
