However, THIS one is TOTALLY real and unaltered.

That’s the mansion look

Goddamn, it got pretty bitchy and estrogenic in here.

Calling someone a dipshit cause they disagree with you… Wow.

Fixed.

Yep. He did. For a moment in time. Then he became Mr. Fucking Olympia.

You’d think from all the posts that adding fat is forever.
Love ya Steely…But that dude had a shit load of chemical help to drop those lb’s.

We cannot compare offeseason pro BB’s to nattys when it comes to losing all that BodyFat.

I’m OK with that.

We have non-natty’s in this thread on one side of the fence or the other, no?

Is that the determining factor if gaining beyond some arbitrary fat % is ‘right’ – natty vs. non-natty?

Please bear with me-- I’m still trying to learn the rules.

I agree. From the OP:
“It’s one thing to say getting big, muscular and fat is beneficial to help you acheive the big and lean physique one day, but to look at “full house” as an end goal, in a bbing forum, I just dont get.”

From the OP. This never was an issue.

I called him a dipshit because he was misinterpreting my statements, and only resorted to insults because he called me “sonofabitch” and a “dumb bastard”.

I don’t believe that anyone would truly wish to look like professor x as opposed to CT, and I don’t believe that anyone saying otherwise is being honest. If that ruffles a few feathers and “gets the estrogen” pumping around here a bit, well, tough. It definitely takes excess calories and some fat gain to put on quality muscle mass, and I’m not disparaging guys with the “full house” look as it’s basically essential at certain times to look that way. I’m arguing against the idea that it is the ideal end-goal physique for anyone besides someone who can’t or won’t watch their diet.

I guess every strongman ever never achieved their goals. Not everyone’s goals are aesthetic. Some people’s goal is to gain strength in perpetuity. So fuck you.

Also you never said any of that shit originally. Your first post about it said basically anyone who doesn’t stay really lean lacks self control and can’t control their diet.
csulli wrote:

the whole point of this thread was about which aesthetic people preferred. There’s nothing wrong with full house for performance purposes if it helps you be a better powerlifter or strongman; I don’t think anyone’s saying that. The original question was simply whether you thought full house looked better, nothing to do with what led to better performance in strength sports, or even gains in the gym. You could prefer full house for performance purposes, but still prefer the LOOK of being ripped.

Strength in perpetuity?

What are your numbers?

That’s why I need perpetuity azathoth. For starters it’ll take me several more years to even get where you’re at. Hopefully I’ll at least join the 4/5/6 club this year.

csulli, your avatar makes your posts defending strongmen and powerlifters that much better.

I’m just lettin you know my progress didn’t really take off until I started focusing on counting my macros and work on not being fat or full house or whatever. That extra fat you think is a side effect of muscle gain is just dead weight. I hope you realize that.

I will take that advice to heart (srs). Hopefully I’m not carrying THAT much extra fat though lol. My leanness levels don’t look too terribly far off from your own according to recent picture evidence of us.

I didn’t say I was lean haha

I made the mistake of gaining too much weight for the sake of gaining too much weight.

I’m in year 1 of 2 of getting myself to the a lower level of leaness

I don’t know that anyone here has advocated gaining too much weight for the sake of gaining too much weight.

Going from 220lbs 20% to 220 17% is ~6.6lbs switch in muscle and fat. That’s a lot of weight. I know 3% change in bodyfat doesn’t seem like much, but when you look at the actual numbers, I say otherwise.

people who count their macros aren’t all twinks lol, wasn’t timmcbride eating like 5000 calories a day (and logging all of it) before prepping for a show? IMO after a certain point in their lifting career, everyone needs to start counting their macros. I’m willing to bet that Klokov is watching his intake very closely
