Why does everyone hate on doing dedicated arm work to get bigger arms? I’ve only been at it about 1.5 years and have passed up the intermediate benchmarks set in the post, and have still managed to put a day in for my arms every week. Are people really attempting to get bigger arms without blasting their biceps or triceps? I know this early in I’m still a beginner, but that just doesn’t make sense to me. Flame me all you want, but wouldn’t it help you reach your goals faster if EVERY body part recieved dedicated attention?
ook where did you see people saying that you shouldnt do direct arm work in this thread??
“preoccupation with crunches,curls…”
“doing the bicep blaster routine”
“not doing blatantly stupid shit” "…20-25 sets…arms)
“you’re working on your lagging biceps”
And not to mention the routine he posted to illustrate his point. How does this not advocate skipping direct arm work? And it’s not just this post. The forum is filled with advise stating “I didn’t do curls and look at me” and “haha at that dude who I watched do set after set of curls”. May be I missed something. He did mention you CAN do 2-3 sets of curls if you like. Shit, thats a warmup to me.

Others hinted at it and many of the beginners here seem to believe this still for some reason.

I was just asking who i wasn’t doubting it happened lol
thanks x
and seriously i dont know how people can still think not training arms directly is a good idea. Maybe on a Crossfit forum but not a bodybuilding forum. I think it should be mandatory for people who say direct arm training is bad to have to put up a pic of their arms

*2 I completely agree. They won’t though, because that would mean they would have to be accountable for their own posts and advise they are giving to beginners. If they leave their pics off the site, they can just post some random guy with ok sized arms and say “see, he got those guns from deadlifts and BW chins.”

yeah, this may sound harsh but if these stupid coaches posted a pick of their arm with a tape measure around it before giving advice on not to train arms a lot of people would never listen to them in the first place and we wouldnt have this problem lol. people get caught up with the fluffy and exciting words in these articles rather then results
