(Front) Squat Routine Suggestions

Yes, more or less. I squatted 5 days/week and used Broz’s basic rep schemes except that I didn’t do all the work sets after the daily max - that was too much work for me. I really like it. Will start doing it again. Coming back from being sick with the flu (not related to training).

Worked well. Went from a 200kg oly squat to a 225kg oly squat in couple weeks. I have a training log floating around here somewhere if want the details.

You squat less than 300. Unless you are competing at 132, you don’t need a special routine.

Squat 3x’s a week,Mon-Wed-Fri 3x5. Add 5 pounds every session. Drink a gallon of milk a day, 2 if you don’t shit yourself, if you do, then you’re doing it right.

If you can’t see session to session or week to week progress. Then you’re either being a pussy or you’re malnourished.

I’m probably gonna get flack for the post, but fuggit. SS methods have given me more progress than I imagined.

Hey man, linear progression is good, and I love mark Rippetoe, I suggested something very similar, but more of a build up in volume, then drop in volume up the intensity.

I did the Russian Squat Routine for front squats. Didn’t make it past the 3x3 but I definitely got stronger from it. Benefited from the volume, too. And mental toughness aspect. Rawgh.
