Got to the dr’s today ten minutes early. I was told to be there today. My labs might be done, have some kind of boot put on to isolate and stabilize my toe, etc. The receptionist looked at me and said she did not have me down for today. I told her I was to be there today. No, they scheduled me for next Monday. That was a bummer.

The antibiotics have me feeling like :poop: so I was surprised at today’s output. My toe still looks like poo. But the doc claims it is healing. I have a boot now, but since I stick to the couch with my foot up, I have had it in about ten minutes.

Dips, I just missed 12 in set one. I left a bit more time between sets. I may be misunderstanding the concept, but I am shooting for ā€œGiant Repsā€ for dips. I will keep 25 as a goal for a week or two then shoot for 26-30.

My co-workers are stunned I can do the dip. No one I know, my age, can do any. I recall 2-3 years back when doing one was a struggle. To be honest I doubt they believe me. I have noticed my current principal is a subtle wiener measurer. He played a year of college football. I could tell, last year when he asked me what my best bench was, and I told him 30 years ago 315+, he wanted to call me a liar. Now I can do dips and he can’t.:joy:

I am still on the couch. A beautiful day out. Time to get some sun. Hopefully Spring is pushing through.

My appetite is coming back. Last night a friend and I did our movie and chili night. I switched it up a bit and instead of making my no set recipe chili, I bought a pack of Cincinnati Chili mix and gave him a big bowl of angel hair spahgetti topped with Cincinati Chili, cheese, diiced onion, kidney beans and oyster crackers. I was worried, it is not traditional chili, I thought he might revolt, but he tore into that like a great white goes after a seal. I actually finished my bowl, I had some appetite. He finished a second bowl.

After a week plus of antibiotics, it is good to want to eat again.

I forgot we watched Man Vs. A nifty sci fi flick from Canada I believe. Then Thrash, an awful Netflix offering. Finally we watched Havoc with Tom Hardy. I quite liked it. Netflix needs to quit making shark movies.

It seems like the older we get the more impressive this type of stuff becomes to people who don’t train. I would imagine that a lot of people can do a lot more than they imagine if they just got in there and put in the work. That set of 11 is impressive no matter your age. Great work!

Glad you are getting your appetite back as well. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Thank you TM79! I do not know what a respectful set is, but if you can do one you are a dude or dudette.

I had a start time of 4:42 AM and ended at 5:30 AM. I slowed everything down. The Atlas Dips sealed the deal.

I am contained in my 49ers chairs. Not moving is my first choice. Not moving is behind door two as well.

The log kind of explains it all. Everyone have a good Tuesday!

That’s great work for now not feeling well.

I went to Cincinnati several years ago, and you are correct their chili is it’s own thing.

I always used to like to go to Steak and Shake and get their chili 5 way. It was chili over spaghetti. Made for good late night drunk food when I was in college. :joy:

How is the toe doing?

The toe sucks. However, I will survive, I hope.

Not the same thing, but years ago Men’s Health published a magazine called Best Life. A grown up version of Men’s Health. They had an article on Miles Davis, and printed a recipe called Miles Davis’ Chili Mac. I forget the recipe, but I only ate it on Friday evening, that gave me the weekend to recover. I gave the recipe to a friend of mine, we both were working in a produce department in a grocery store. We were working one evening and he tells me he made the Miles Davis’ Chili Mac. I asked if he liked it, he says, ā€œDude it was delicious I ate five bowls.ā€ I think, ā€œOh no.ā€ About an hour later he comes racing through produce and I said, ā€œHey!ā€ He replied, ā€œCan’t talk, I just shit myself.ā€ I should have warned him. But yea, Cincinnati Chili would be a great dish for post partying.

Start: 5:20 AM End: 6:02 AM Total: 42 mins

Total Reps: 198

Pre Workout: Coffee

I slept like :poop:last evening. I had a glass of milk at 10 PM. At 3:00 AM the gates of the bladder began to open.

Weight: at home undressed, 205 lbs. Doc’s office, fully clothed 215 lbs. The truth is somewhere in there.

A lot of reps today. Even without adding the count from the vacuum I was at 173. I felt strong today despite the levee breaking.

Toe, in limbo. Not as bad, but kind of slowed in its healing. I see my doc tomorrow.

I hope to see everyone Saturday!
