Good! Those must be agonizing. To think of someone sitting off to the side observing me in therapy - yikes. I think it would make me so awkward, it wouldn’t even be an accurate representation of what I do.
I feel this way when doctors come in the room when I’m scanning. I hate someone watching over my shoulder.

Good Morning! The start of a new week.
Pre Workout: Amazon Coffee
I am down a pound according to my home scale. Sub-200, barely.
Not much sleep, but a good session. Reps were up, resistance was up, I felt decent. Better than most mornings. ![]()
I do not have much to type. I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

The date in the journal is wrong. I put yesterday’s session in this morning
Pre- Workout: coffee
I woke about 4:46 AM with a German Shepherd staring me down. I guess it was time. A pretty good workout partner.
I felt good this morning. A bit of neuropathy in my feet, but it did not slow me down.
Reps were up in most sets. A good thing. With the extra day I felt refreshed. I was going to HIIT on the Airdyne, but Stacy (Her name really isn’t Hildegard.) was at work. I save the HIIT for when she is home.
I had a nice surprise when I got home yesterday. The yard crew finally came and sucked up the leaves. We have around 25+ willows and poplars, leaves get to be a problem.
Everyone have a splendid day!

Dips were a disappointment. Everything else was OK. My neck is getting stronger.
Not much going on. Just a Saturday. Leaves are up. So is the Christmas tree thanks to Stacy.
Have a good rest of your weekend!
Birthdays today. My middle daughter turns 30 today. She loves her imperfect father. Loves her mum even more. Well educated, a college academic counselor who counsels primarily with varsity football players at the university level. The pressure she gets from coaches is rather stressful apparently, but she holds her own. She has a great husband as well. Grandpa would have been 106 today. Well beyond expectations. However he made it to 94. Then he passed the next day. He recovered from bladder cancer, lung cancer, two artery replacement surgeries, a bee swarm attack, being broad sided by a fellow who ran a red (he was about 82 at the time…) and finally wore out at 94. Country strong (not the movie) you could say about him. “A damn stubborn German,” my mother would say.
Have a good day!
Wow! And then died peacefully of old age?
Your daughter sounds wonderful, and I can feel your pride. Good job Dad! And happy birthday to them both.
Yea, my parents took care of him the last year or so. He never saw the inside of a rest home. One night my mom found him despondent. She asked him what was wrong? “I killed a lot of Japanese…” was all he said. I believe that was the only time he talked about the War. He was a prince, to this day my brother calls me the crown prince. ![]()

HIIT
Airdyne/CAROL workout: 2:00+:20 sprint+2:00+:20 sprint+2:00.
Distance 1.7 miles
It is amazing how hard it is for me to get on that GD Airdyne and do a couple of sprints. Well I did today.
Woohoo!!
That’s a proud son and dad right there.
Not my best performance. But I put a session in. The sprints on the Airdyne, though so few, kicked my duff. I was sore from that.
See you Thursday!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving sir.

I am changing my MO for awhile. Probably out of boredom. I dusted off the Total Gym XLS. My wife gifted it to me for Christmas after I had the COVID. I could barely get off the couch and I was to weak to reconfigure the Soloflex. It isn’t Olympic lifting, but will do for a few months. It is a completely different workout from the Soloflex.
It entails bodyweight resistance and eventually a lot more reps.
Basically this is how I got off the couch five years ago.
Plus, I have not used it in at least two years, so I have a bit of lack of use guilt. A Christmas gift and all.
You don’t need to justify it - follow your heart! These are YOUR workouts.
Thanks! It just seemed like it was time for something different. I appreciate your note.
Be careful with that total gym. That is what Chuck Norris used. You don’t want to have to register your body as a lethal weapon. ![]()
