Soloflex Workout I

Start: 7:51 PM. End: 8:19 PM

Obviously a late start for me. But it wasn’t a bad session. I skipped dead hangs and the Airdyne. No dry sauna either.

For the uncurious, my government class told me today my doppelganger is Raymond Reddington. Since I do not post pictures of me, well there you have it. In the 80s I even had matching hair.

Back to important items. A good pump, especially post bench press. I have not stretched this much elastomer since? It has been a bit. Am I as strong as I would be using weight - weights? No. But I am progressing. My shirt sleeves are fitting tighter. My waist varies. BP at the doc’s yesterday was 115/68. Oxygen was 92%. I need to pedal more.

I found out yesterday that one of my fishing holes has had a momma grizzly and two cubs wandering around it. I am glad I stayed away. Not that I expect trouble, but avoiding is the best defense.

I do not see it. But thank you! The first time I heard someone say that was when I was in college. I did not see it then either. I think I look more like a fat Tom Petty.

No pre workout

Started mid PM. Ended about 8:10 PM

Ah Stimulator: Mode II, Level 9, 20 minutes

Incline Press: 12, 8, 8, 6

Behind Neck Pull Down: 2x10, 2x8

Seated Press: 3x8, 1x6

Concentration Curl: 4x5/5

Leg Press: 1x6, 2x8

The most I can type is? I put a session in. I was not quite motivated this evening.

I started about 7:15 PM? It took me a bit over 30 minutes. I did not keep time. I am wondering how many, if any, do dead hangs using grizzly, grips, or a similar tool?

I started with dead lift and cut the weight. I think this week was signaling me to back off. I felt a bit worn out, though last week I had pushed the resistance, on some exercises, heavier than I have in sometime.

Hence:

It came up sideways. GD phone camera.

Anyway, I have loosened up a bit. It does seem, however, my upper arms might have made a bit of a jump in size. Notice I typed ā€œa bitā€. That surprises me since concentration curls are not thought of as building size. Maybe the added weight, though negligent, might be doing the trick through my triceps. Which upon just thinking that through, it must be the dips.

Two days off. Plus harvest break…. I should get some decent relaxation in. I headed to the mountains tomorrow for trout. Hopefully mamma grizzly has wandered the opposite direction.

One more thing. After the Raymond Reddington and Fat Tom Petty analogies (by me), I sat down in a barber’s :seat: for the first time in six months and the barber said, ā€œYou look like John Denver!ā€. Go figure!

Ha! That is a funny add-on to the conversation.

Have fun in the mountains! We’ve been enjoying the thru-hikers we get at this time of year. Yesterday someone asked what husband and I do for a living - he wants to move here. Hopefully he gets to, it’s certainly a happy place for me!

I forgot to mention, my dips were weak on Saturday. The last two sets I ended up doing rest-pause between reps. I do have some DOMS today, but not bad.

On another note, to my friend in Australia, if you still frequent these forums, I thought I would let you know I dropped my phone in a lake yesterday. So, I have no way of messaging you on Facebook. However, get a hold of me here (message?) and I will get back to you. I hope the pull over machine is as good as I know they are. So, my phone is at 6000 ft elevation, in ten feet of water.

For everyone else, no pictures of my journal until I get a new one. I am relegated to sending mirror signals. Hildegard is in Arizona with the cash card, and her phone.

James Spader was the perfect choice as the voice actor for Ultron. I still consider him the best villain out of all the villains for MCU imo

Full body workout

About 30 minutes

An Stimulator: Mode I, Level 9, Total Time 20 minutes

Bench Press: 3x12

Lat Pull Down/Biceps Curl: 3x15

Seated Press: 3x12

Triceps Push Down: 3x12

Front Squat: 3x12

Total Reps: 183

I rest-paused my way to equal reps in each set. The result? Quite an upper body pump. Legs not bad either.

I did muff up however, I did do seated presses instead of behind neck press. I might feel a bit pooped tomorrow.

Home alone until Monday. My German Shepherd is becoming fluent. Duolingo!
