That’s some serious rucking! Definitely year of the leg. How do you feel today?
And I think the glasses were just right.

edit: I feel like such a goof. I messed up my stuff. My rucking was 5KM. Not miles. In miles thats about 3.
I’ll go crawl in a hole now.
Rucking usally tires me out…Usually up for a nap afterwards.
or sometimes it makes me hungry.
and lethargic.
And Sweaty -
Afterwards, I usually just like to cuddle…
veggie - hammies, quads and calfs felt tight but no pain at all. As Joe pointed out, it might have done more good than bad.
Edgy - I love me a cuddler, when I’m not in amazone kick ass mode of course.
Tonight: 40 minutes of yoga/stretching especially the legs. Kinda boring but this should make me superstar squater tomorrow.
hubby looks kind of adorable. Men, cats, rest – all the good things in life!

Lol Mainie, my walks to the gym are 50 minutes, a little over 3 miles as well, with less than 8 pounds in my backpack I’m sure.
So your rucking is still beastly.
Jesus, I couldn’t run 5 miles in 44 minutes, let alone ruck it. I’m glad you said it was KM not miles!
Love the picture of hubby and kitty. (Wish I had a kitty!)
lol! Silly Frenchie!
Hubby and Kitty = beyond cute!
How often do you make it out of Amazon Kick Ass Mode though?

(Whispers to Mainie)
I think Timmy wants to cuddle
touché Timmy.
not very often. That doesn’t mean that I do not know how to connect. I am an aquarius, we are intellectuals. Cuddling/forplay/connecting for me is opening a good bottle of wine and talking about politics, world issues what ever rocks your boat really. Having a good laugh and such with the TV and computer off. I do hug and touch but they are more like momentos that energize me throughout the day.
Prolly much more info than was needed ama’right?
Powerlifting gym
went through the squat had issues with my depth all night. I have no flexibility and my hams are tight and weak. They need to be strengthened and limbered.
Squats:
bar 1x8
65lbs 1x8
95lbs 1x5
110lbs 1x3
115lbs 1x1
125lbs 1x1
135lbs 1x1
140lbs 1x1 using knee wraps for my first time at this point
155lbs 1x1
165lbs 3x1.
The highlight of my night was hitting depth on the last 2 sets of my 165lbs after struggling all night.
Big issu for me is fiddling. I need to plant my feet and just go. Also my movement has to be quick and flowing. I am currently thinking too much, I am slow and I kinda bounce. no bueno.
Did enjoy the knee wraps once I got the groove for them. felt very safe and nice on the knees. I am heading back there tomorrow to figure out my bench numbers.
Openers:
squat should be something like 65kg 75kg 80-82.5kg
deadlift: 110kg 117kg 130kg
bench: to be determined tomorrow
I will be getting my singlet and wraps the morning of the meet.
edit: just wanted to add as a note that my homework will be to do wall facing squats to really learn to sit back low.
getting excited yet?
training is looking great
Honestly G, I’m getting bogged down by all the little million details I’m doing wrong at this point. I’m trying to tell myself to just go in and have fun but last night I had trouble sleeping. My mind kept spinning over the crap I have to remember such as “keep your hands tight on the bar during the lift off for the bench”, “Don’t shuffle your feet after the squat command”, “don’t bounce up and down during your squat”… ugh.
As mentionned before I will be adding wall squats everyday with a little stretching. If my memory serves me right, Veggie might have mentionned working with these. Kinda gives me a little hope. This vid’s for Maschy, to show that all superstars have their achile’s heel. This is my 12 attempt this morning. The road to glory is paved with challenges.
superwoman fistbump
Nice view!
I’m gonna have to try that now.
Yup, I do wall squats every time I squat. They, along w/other stretching and spiderman crawls as a warmup, have made the difference for me. Do wonders for my depth. Keep up the good work Frenchie. Can’t wait to hear how the bench goes today.
They made me do wall squats at the oly workshop I did. I failed miserably (but then they made me do it with hip width feet. I naturally place my feel a lot wider).

Don’t over think, just react. It WILL fall into place. Can’t always do 100 in a 55.
Remember, reflection causes no misconception.
awwwww poor mainy!
when should i be over?
Now I am wondering whether I could even do a wall squat. Wow!
As for getting all wrapped up in the details of the lifts for your meet, remember that this is only a hobby. No-one is paying you to powerlift, so its not like your work where you have to excel. The meet will be fun no matter what weights you lift or whether your form is perfect. Consider this a loving bitch-slap.
