Frenchie! Loving the pics!! And I’m glad bear suggested this project too! Sexy and dark.
And yeah, i’d say those squats have been conquered. Can’t wait to see what happens Friday with your coach! So excited for your first meet. Woo hoo!

The pause has def added a challenge to my game.
For Bree:
Slow-roasted lamb shank with onions and potatoes
Ingredients
4 lamb shanks
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons brown sugar
allspice, ground
2 ounces olive oil
2 ounces butter
4 garlic cloves, just cracked
1 onion
3 sprigs rosemary (I sed a table spoon of dried stuff)
3 sprigs thyme (again I used dried)
a generous splash of Grand Marnier
vinegar
3 cups chicken stock
12 white mini-potatoes
Method
rub the shanks with some salt, brown sugar and allspice
Pick a roasting pan sized to comfortably accommodate all the shanks lying down. Add oil and butter. Brown meat on all sides. Remove. Brown onion and garlic, deglaze with the vinegar. Add Grand Marnier and broth. Place meat back in and add potatoes.
Turn the oven to 325F and add the rosemary and thyme and bake for 3 hours. Check every hour or so to see if liquid has evaporated. Add water if necessary.
Serves 4.[/quote]
EDIT: SERVES ONE!!! SERVES ME
THANKS! …but shit…I need an oven… I am determined to find one. I MUST eat this!

BLUF: Bottom Line Up Front. This was fitting for this occasion.
Ooo I love the Dexter theme! One of my favourite shows!
Dark and twisted is fun.
Thanks for love everyone. A buddy of mine mentionned the glasses where too much? what’s the consensus here?
Cal - the cocktail was a glass full of Maraschino cherries in syrup. thought the coloring was “a propos”
today - 5mile ruck with 35lbs pack in 44 minutes. Last time I did it in 58 minutes. I’m such a competitive bastard. Knowing that a good score was 45 minutes, I had to push harder. Not sure if rucking after yesterday’s squats was plain stupid or a stroke of genius. Ah well, year of the leg right?
did 35 minutes of yoga as cool down/ stretching after. I remembered why I stopped. Too much breathing, not enough stretching. Tomorrow I’m pulling out yoga for the big boys and really stretching out the hammies and hips.
^ Lol!
Frenchie, now you’re taking my language! Think how strong your legs will be!
And yoga afterwards? I need to learn from you girlie! I’ll have to have me a good stretch too.
I think the rucking after squats is genius. I always have DOMS after squatting and I bet rucking would work through it faster, if more painfully.
I SO need to try rucking sometime. I have a state park with a big hill too.
What do you put in the pack to make it heavy?
I have a ruck planned for this evening and you just inspired me to make it a little bit longer.
5 miles in 44 minutes? With a backpack on your back? Are you serious?
Rucking after is genius, great idea.
What the hell, did you ruck while roped to a moving car?
44 minutes is beastly
totally serious on my time started at O’55 and ended at O’39. I was moving halfway between a fast walk and a short stroke jog.
Alisa - 2x 15lbs DB and I use a folded up towel to keep them nice and tight in the bag.
photo - non related. Hubby is on a business trip this week and I miss him so you guys have to out up with it. lol
