I was having a relatively good day today when I screwed up and assumed a certain deal was OK from having the ok in the past. Now in the best worlds I would have been told a simple, “no we can’t do that anymore” but in reality it turned into a big nonsense that made me look like a power whore. sheesh. decided to let that issue on the backburner until tomorrow. Nothing big but it made me look like an idiot and angered a bunch of work peeps for no reason. Decided to use the negative energy to fuel today’s workout and kick my own deserving ass. Especially since I’m taking the next 2 days off from the gym

Sorry to hear about silliness at work. But!! +4 PR is fan-freaking-tastic. I have to say the most impressive thing in that whole anger driven workout was the barbell glute bridges: 225 5x5 is pretty monster on that move.
Also, I heard two guys talking about a youtube video one of them saw where a girl, a GIRL! pulled (they said deadlifted, but still) 185 for 12 reps. It was an animated conversation where they also talked about how they wished they could deadlift like that. I know, I’m a little stunned by the coincidence myself (true story!).
There is so much awesome in here that I’ve missed.

He wondered if the people driving by through we were weird tropming around in the snow with heavy backpacks.

Greenies/Edgy - I’m cool with mac and cheese but give me real gruyere and swiss topped with parmesean. Non of the orange overprocessed velveta powdered crap.
alexus - I use a step to really get a good workout from these.

Joe - I use the finshers when I feel there is still some left in the tank after my 5/3/1 day’s heaviest. These are not really planned. Although I’m juggling with a 205 x 12 next time I feel I little excess energy.
LS - you guys already ARE awesome for rucking in that crazy snow. You are now making yourselves awesome-er.

Awesome on the +4 PR. Shit at work is a major source of frustration for me which I routinely take out on unsuspecting barbells. Good for you for channeling bs into a sweet PR!

I do calf raises on the leg press machine because the calf raise machine leaves marks.
