modeling of the t-shirt will occur, no worries.
and I’m hitting the squats today in my commercial gym. I’ll bring along my camera to see if all the freakin wall squating has translating to my reg squats.

I have actually run out of adjectives to describe all the great things you do. So, this will have to do…
SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS… <— I think that just about encompasses everything.
lol @ Print.
I just take the bull by the horns and fuck it up the ass. No wait - that’s not how it goes…damn.
Seriously I find too many people are paralyzed by the thought of doing something because they cannot be the best. This attitude prevents people from trying out so many fun things. I prefer to try a bunch of things, do my best and perhaps find a few key things that speak to my heart and work on those until I excel. Perhaps I never will, but the journey will keep me busy and happy.
You can always be better than some, there will always be people better than you.
(in my case photography, cooking, lifting, writing…)
This doesn’t mean shit unless you let it.
here ends my sunday preaching.
Amen.
included - giant fresh shrimp and scallops, homemade duck, lamb and porc sausages, plenty of veggies, cheese and wine.
I live for this too.
pic includes hubbie, brother and childhood friend to the 3 of us. We all hung out together back in high school many moons ago.
I’m not one for sitting in the pews, but I liked your sermon. ![]()
It’s also really cool that you guys (childhood friends) get to hang out together. There’s really nothing quite like someone who’s known you since way back when. You both get to be and have to be completely yourself.

That spread sound awesomely delicious!
I host my next wine tasting in June, gotta start thinking of a menu…
et merde! I forgot to bring my camera. I even got dressed up in some nice yoga pants instead of my usual fatty sweats to you know, check form and depth. bah.
Today’s session:
Squats
bar x12
95 x 5
125 x5
140 x 3
155 x2
95 x5
Smith machine calf raises
155 x 8
175 x 8
185 x 8
Neutral grip pullups
2x1 - kinda happy with these since I haven’t trained them in a while.
1 band 1x3
2 bands 3x5
Alternating dumbbell waiter walks the length of the gym (probably somewhere between 50-60 feet)
40lbs x 5
45lbs x 1
50lbs x 1
Funny thing I wasn’t feeling these at all when I was reading about them. In my elitist mind I was wondering what was so fun about hauling small weights across the room. Well turns out they are fun! You should have seen the smile on my face when I managed the 50’s, after a full workout too. Makes me wonder just how much I could carry if I were fresh. I really need to keep these for quiet gym days cause even with low traffic sunday I still got a few idiots walking right in front of me.
I’m on my third week of the 5.3.1. program and guess what? I’m enjoying it. It really suits my intuitional way of working out. Basically I go in knowing I have to squat so much weight x so many reps and then I can just move about the space according to what is free and what I am focusing on (these past few weeks have been legs). I usually can’t wait to get rid of a program because it takes the fun out of it for me. Looks like I might stick to this 5.3.1 for a nice little bit.
Cool to hear that you enjoyed the waiters’ walks. They are fun. Dodging idiots makes them less fun, so I agree about the quiet time thing. Next time try the cross-carry too… really hits your obliques and you don’t even realize it. Core work for people who don’t really enjoy core work (me.)
How are your squats feeling? Think all of your wall squat drilling is helping? (BTW I finally got a vid of mine up on my log.)
It is nice and refreshing to enjoy a program so much, huh?! Exactly how I’m feeling about the GVT.
how much weight were you hauling Veggie with the waiter’s walks? I’m too lazy to check out your log and that GVT program you got going on puts my teeth on edge ![]()
Frenchie swearing in French… that got me hawt ;D
Idiots love to walk in front of you when they can clearly see you carrying heavy shit. I’m glad it’s not just my gym.
Glad you’re lovin 5/3/1
so did that last workout count as “5” of the 5-3-1? I’m tryin to get my shit together so I dont die.
Waiters walks with 50s?!?!? Oh my freaking god. That’s alot!
I’m sad to have missed the yoga pants.

The most that I have attempted is 45 for about 250 ft. I always do them at the end of my session when I’m done doing big lifts and misc. accessory work. READ: reasonably fatigued. But, next time I will surely put up 50 since you did. Thanks for the inspiration.
glad to hear you are enjoying your program. i’m going to take my inspiration from you for the time being and try and figure a squat program that i think i can enjoy so i learn to love me some squats again. there will be a time for me to suck it up… but now is not that time.
i liked your sermon very much. you are wise nimain. and you got a cute sprog, too. well done ![]()
So cool you found a program you enjoy!!
Those are some big weights your haulin over your head. Do you have to stop and sort of ‘snatch,’ em up?
