Frenchie's Killer Queen Log

Great articles Frenchie!

I think a lot of people approach fitness/exercise the same way they approach cleaning the bathroom; it must be done so just get it done. But they leave out the fun and the accomplishment and the playing part of it that is the reward. A lot of my friends play hockey and they actually don’t even think of it as exercise because it’s a hobby they do for fun and do all sorts of creative scheduling in their lives just so the ‘get to play.’ You don’t often hear people talk about the gym or working out like that because they’ve taken the sport or the play out of it.

That’s what’s giving you troubles, isn’t it? No pictures?[/quote]

Sweet tee shirt Frenchie

Good article as well. Too many people act like good health is something you magically have or do not have.

Are you SERIOUS!!! , that t-shirt is insanely AWESOME!!!

Awesome shirt is awesome.

LWI

P.S., I secretly want your job…

great design Frenchie!

OMG!!! Seriously, I want one of those t-shirts with my name on it too!

Great article too girlie! <3 ya

yeah, very cool t-shirt

i enjoyed your articles. i started out going to the gym because i thought i should… but truth be told only reason i’m still going to the gym is because about 2 weeks in i discovered how good it felt to do better than i had done before and at that point i was totally addicted! it is good to remember to have fun, too. i need to remember that. balance between doing the program whether i feel like it or not (and taking pride in being able to do more) and playing around with stuff. joining the gym is one of the best decisions i ever made, i think. i cringe to think where i’d be at now if i hadn’t have found the courage.

Love it. You need to model it when it arrives! (But you knew that, eh?)

MIM - 99% of my job is sales. 1% marketing (writing, demos, planning ads and pos material)
To get this job I accumluated over 5 years of experience in sales and sales management in totally different areas. Lifting was my hobby. I found the job posting online but if you have your ducks all in a row you can be proactive and approach these supps companies. Remeber that there are many meatheads in the business that think all they have to do is flex a bicep to close a sale. You need to show how you can handle the job creatively.

pros:

1-I get to taste a lot of stuff for free
2-I get to work with some pretty cool people and talk about lifting
3-I work from home

cons:
1-I put a crap load of mileage on my car. If you are the main provider for your kids this would be problematic. I do not have a 9-5 job. I can plug in up to 350-400 km in a day.
2- I need to manage some crazy ass egos.
3- our biggest competitor is the internet and this only gets worse with time.

hope this helps!

I’m having some family and friends over for a raclette supper so today is house cleaning and market time. Tomorrow I’ll hit my local gym for some squats.

oh and I started watching sparticus last night. I watched the first 8 episodes in a row. No genius script: a rehash of an age old story but the visuals are damn fine. My one main qualm: the “free” women are all catty and ugly (by ugly I mean their personalities are ugly and to me that makes them ugly) It be nice to have one of them be kinda cool.

hope you guys are enjoying your weekend

I enjoy your writing–in articles, log posts, and on tshirts.

ok, I just want the writing articles part of your job

Love the articles! Love the training and the shirt. I think I need a coach or some training sessions.

Yeah, I’m not really paid for that part - consider it more of a job perk.

Cool stuff goin’ on in here. Writing, eating, designing, selling. I’m looking forward to a new lifting vid.

And the modeling of the new shirt of course (I hope it is short).

Your articles ARE awesome. Really good stuff in here always

Love the shirt too.

I probably sound like a broken record, but keep working the wall squats. I definitely see improvement. BTW finally figured out how to take a vid w/my webcam. Don’t laugh, I’m a tech dummie. Only had this macbook for like over 4 years. Just never had the need to take one. Now I have to find a bare wall in this condo…
