I was planning on sucking wind through complexes tonight (bikini obliging and all) but got irritated at work which left me really wanting to let off some steam. Figured fuck it, Imma lifting something heavy tonight. Decided to give my new chucks a testdrive but once I got to the gym the 1 rack we have was occupied so I gravitated towards the bench like a forlorn lover. Don’t care how long its been I just love the groove of the set up, wrestling with the bar as it tries to choke me and push that fucker away.

At this point some skinny bloke had hogged all the little 2.5lbs plates instead of simply using a 10lbs plate - cause that would be easier right? I was planning my next jump to be 150 but thanks to skinny hogger I decided to grab my proverbial balls and just do it.

What make this victory even sweeter is that despite being sick I’ve been eating cleaner (by Frenchie standards) and weighed in at 155 tonight. This means that I am loosing some chubb but keeping the strenght and
B- I FINALLY HAVE MY BODYWEIGHT BENCH. I’ve been chasing this once for the past 5 years, so yeah I’m excited can you tell?
As I was resting between the benching one of the trainers actually came up to me and asked if I would be interested in teaching a weightlifting class. WTF?!? I still feel like I have so much to learn. She knows I have a full time job but wants to sign me up for a night class a week. I’m not sure how to handle this so I’ll get more information first and take it from there…Flattering yes but a little mind boggling.
