2nd place contender was surprisingly not a Seuss

I don’t usually shoot in raw because I choose not to devote the time to extensive post-processing anymore. I actually got some good shots with the ISO cranked up to 3200 and the 50 stopped down to 2.

Great pix! Love that dutch oven, and I’m sure you’ll put it to delicious use.[/quote]

My iso maxes out at 1800 and we never use it cause the pics come out all grainy. You must have a beast of a machine

Nice shoes, I see the last pair there is an original, are the others as well? Did you try some on in the store before ordering? (I am a shoe person, it’s my job to ask these questions LOL).
Current max is 290, pulled 275 the other day, nice and easy. I’ve done 300 in gear, but I want it raw.

Naw - went ahead and ordered online. I am a consistant 7.5. If they don’t have the in between points I move up to the 8s cause my feet are too wide for the 7’s.

Not sure what you mean by original. Here’s the site that ships in our area if your interested:
http://www.bagginsshoes.com/converse-dr-seuss.html

as for the deads you’ve got the advantage but that will only fuel me  its on!

Just bought some socks to go with the shoe: royal blue thigh high. I sense a theme color for this royal frenchie with cheese

Those are originals, that means if you are a size 8, you need a 6 in Converse sizing, because they are all in Men’s sizes. I see the order drop down has the conversion though, so I am hoping you got the Women’s 8/Men’s 6. There are a ton of copy-cat Converse out there, I have a pair of Ed Hardy ones, and those usually run to normal sizing.
Slight advantage maybe, but on a good day there is not much difference in 10 lbs on the deadlift. And I only pull twice a month, so I’d say we are pretty even.

Awesome Awesome Awesome!!

love the pics, love the goals and SHOES!!

Oh I love the tattoo Chucks!

Diana - I had no clue there was a world of fake Converse out there. the drop down sizing list was pretty straightforward and they have half sizes so I should be fine.

Mim- thanks

Cal - I know! I was all set up for the seuss and I saw those… it was a tough choice.

Why is it I get in arguments the minute I venture out of my usual logs? Like really, you’re getting your panties in a bunch because I do not want to fuck the “right” fictive cartoon hero? really?! there’s a world of frustrated weirdos out there…

oh, I saw that…

Thats where the hanging back and observing part of me kicks in.
But in IRL, I stick up for my friends. Got in a fist fight in the 6th grade

just ignore that creep.

I don’t think I come across as a bitch. I make a point of trying to really word my thoughts and show when I’m being sarcastic and yet I cross the borders to share and laugh and I get a “you’re not single and you have bad taste Dude”

ok little men.

On a different note I am being a good person today shakes finger at karma better damn well sit up and take notice.

said family whom I woke up at noon on the 26th telling me they will not be driving down for my xmas party asked me yesterday if I was free to do her pregnant belly pictures that I promised I would do 6 months ago… She is due anytime within the next 3 weeks. Part of me wanted to say “go play in traffic” another part, the part the usually wins out said, “lead by example”. So I will not be an angry person, I will drive 3 hours there and back to take picture of my 24yr old cousin’s belly. Because I am a good person. Not sure I beleive that yet but I’m not one to break promises…

does this make me a push over? I like to think I can stand up for myself and ohers when needed but this is a simple lack of education and manners. Being a bitch will not help the sitation…

yeah, I’m nuts I suppose.

no way Mainy, I think that’s down right commendable and I’d probably do the same

People think I’m a pushover, heck I even think I’m a push over sometimes - but there are times to stand up for yourself and there are times when you just need to say F it. I don’t doubt that you know when to choose which to say at what time. That’s what makes you a smart and thoughtful woman and not someone who is selfishly belligerent. I admire that. Have fun!

Frenchie, 2011 sounds like it’s going to be a great year for you. Awesome goals. And, you’re definitely not a push over. A pushover is reactive. Your choices are yours. You do what is right because your think it is right. Your cousin is lucky to have you as a photographer.

Frenchy, I believe in: “To those whom much is given, much is expected.” You’ve got the inner resources to do the right thing, so that is what you do.

I’m shooting a two plus year old Pentax K100D. The autofocus sucks ass, but the Pentax prime lenses are stellar (I’m a prime lens shooter) and the ISO 3200 isn’t bad. A little noise reduction and the pix were entirely usable.

I love your Chuck selection! Me, well I’ve got the boring black low-cuts, but that is sorta who I am…

love the techie camera talk! and I have the boring black high-top chucks with black soles, speaking to who I am…

How did I miss this? Was it in SAMA? Fucking a superhero? WTF is that all about? Did you happen to mention I was a superhero? That’s probably what got you in trouble…HA!!!

Don’t sweat it kid, their are a lot of arrogant asshats over there.

love the chucks! ; )

So did you end up driving the 6 hours to take the prego pics?

Maschy & Nadia - you are right. I did what I believed is right and that is always best.

Kimba - I do feel blessed for what I have and have acheived and part of the pleasure is sharing with those around me. If by prime lens you mean fixed zoom you should look into the 50mm. it also has a fixed zoom but the clarity is amazing.

soldog - I prefer the hightops myself, the black hightops are classic. A good choice.

Print: just a stupid question in the sama “tell us anything” thread where the following question popped up:

Which superhero would you choose as your Dad? (superman)
as yourself? (Rogue)
as your lover? (wolverine/batman)

I got reprimanded for having terribly bad taste. In the confines of our little civil compound I’d be curious what you guys would answer to these. Promise I won’t flame you

lil power - almost bought a pair of royal blue knee socks with bookworm written in bold yellow to wear with them but I figured I would be redundant.

Alpha - nice to see you still around  I did take the pics but crappy thing was they had this whole family thing planned for breakfast and decided to stick around (I was invited for 1pm) so I had to make beautiful intimate pictures surrounded by 8 adults and 3 toddlers… seriously how do I get wrapped up in this shit??

Picture of my beautiful pregnant cousine Roxanne who is due within 15 days.

Yes I know, her belly is small. She is expecting a little daughter.
