I have no recs for the chucks. I tried chucks once and decided I prefered squatting and DLing barefoot. But of course you can’t do that in a meet…my vote is black on black chucks, cuz i’m classy like that…HA!

Thanks for the comments on the chucks. esthetic wise I prefer the high tops. I’ll go try a pair and do a couple of bw squats in the store.
Bear - when you have the amazing strength of Pegg I’m sure the shoes don’t matter Personally, with the sumo deads my feet have slipped to the point of being under the plates which made for a very awkward reset. As for the squat, pushing my feet out barefoot has only led to more slipping and sliding and my running shoes have those runner’s heels which aren’t flat. I need something, might as well get some feedback.

I’m a Chuck wearer, too - I have three pairs (red, purple and grey). My only complaint is they can rub my little toes if I wear them for a while, but they are great for pulling.

I did have fun with my office chair:) Other ideas: the hat doesn’t need to be on your head. also wear something cute that is revealing but not to much for you.

I think there is some stuff on how high top boots don’t support your ankle so much as restrict it and make it weak (like overuse of belts). Think I read that somewhere on T nation about basketballers having more ankle injuries as a result of basketball high top boots and also olympic weightlifters with the old fashioned high top boots (or maybe I read it on the olympic weightlifting evolution of technique / shoe article). And deadlifting is probably different. And you can of course tie 'em up loose (as the olympic weightlifters started to do).

Worked late today but so far my week has been good.
The plan is to hit my target on Monday/Tuesday of next week instead of the 31st. No one will want to be talking business around the holidays so I’m working double time now so I can take my time back next week. So far I’m right on target for the plan. Yeah me
