Frenchie's Fromage

Referencing the brother-in-law, I have no patience for spiteful foolishness. Especially when children are used the way he used them. I won’t say that I’d have reacted violently, but he would leave my place with a very healthy fear of my attention after something like that.

As for the images on the front page, very rarely do they put actual figure models or athletes on there. I miss the days when they posted ACTUAL figure athlets, and then they had the Powerful Images on there as well. It would’ve been nice had they used folks actually doing something powerful as opposed to posing, though.

If I remember correctly, some of the regulars years ago, were posted as powerful images…Melinda comes to mind(firebug) Powerlifter and firefighter extraordinaire…if her image wasn’t used, I believe they did an interview with her.

Beast, the Powerful Images were awesome. I wish they’d bring those back

Guess I’m not average either.

Always an interesting read here. Stimulating topics, great photos. You’ve got it all, girl![/quote]

Speaking of all of this, in someways i feel like they guys running the site have missed to pule that keeps this place great…i wish the site would have sections where they highlight member’s transformations, accomplishments, etc…or even some interviews. there are a ton of people in the forums here that i would love to know more about/hear their story…that would inspire me a whole lot more than what is up there right now…

Print & Snap - you guys def have that “je ne sais quoi” which rises you above the masses. Each in a different way. And thank you for keeping up with my log Snap, glad you enjoy the package

Greenie - totally agree with you on that. I think my ascendant was leo but that’s so murky I’d need to verify. maybe someday.

Beast- I’ve just learned that some fights are not worth the energy. People will be stupid. You can bring a horse to water but you can’t make it drink, right?

Mim- can’t remeber honestly. What I miss are the powerful words. They still have them but in a forum of it’s own which defeats the purpose. I kinda have the feeling they wanted to stupidify the home page.

Ink- you should have them poste your dip with the pail o paint!

Joe - my next stop is you log and it better be good

Masch - nope can’t choose the folks and they come with good and bad. I am so blessed on one hand that I try to keep that in focus.

Alpha - That’s a neat idea! Maybe we could come up with a good set of questions or something hmmmm frenchie brain is spinning…

OH MY GOD!!

I did NOT want to go to the gym today. We were hit by a blizzard all day and satying home felt so tempting. But I grabbed my proverbial balls and made it out there.

Deadlifts:
155lbs 2x5
185lbs 1x5
205lbs 1x5
225lbs 1x2
245lbs 1x1
265lbs 2x Nill

Not happy with the max out results. I’ve been trying to hit 165-180 to no avail these past weeks. So I’m changing my plan to adding reps tp my 225-245 range which will hopefully translate to more strenght on these.

Sumo Deadlifts:
225lbs 1x1
205lbs 3x1, 1x3
185lbs 2x5.

I’ve learned to keep my shoes with these because the floor is slippery with only my socks which didn’t help with keeping my balance.

Bench
95lbs 1x5 - for easy wamr up
115lbs 1x5
135lbs 1x5 - nice and steady
145lbs 1x2 - rep PR + 1
135lbs 1x6 - rep PR + 1

atleast all my squats and deads work is transfering to my bench. And best of all these were ALL flat footed. kept my back nice and tight, kept a nice pace, steady with proper breathing. Next time I’ll start with bench first. I bet ya I can do 135 3 x 8 without the fatigue.

Romanian Deadlift
110 3x8 - working those hammies and ass.

Supper: BBQ chicken drumsticks with spinach salad and a greek lager (Mythos). Beating the winter blues with a an indoor summer pic nic!

cheers
N

darn site seems to be fucked up.

Make the site more personable…yes.

Was planning to hit the PL gym on friday but I’m babysitting my cookie-face then so I’ll be stopping by for some coaching tonight. I’ll be practicing my bodyweight squats all day.

^Holy Moley to the DL numbers! DAMN! Mainy, that’s impressive. Strong willed, strong mind, strong body. You are now considered deadly.

Stories like that one (the BIL commentary) really bring home to me that my goal of fitting into my jeans is just so much easier to pull off without incurring the judgment of others than, say, getting stronger. In many people’s minds, women occupy such a narrow slice of life. Stepping out of that socially accepted zone takes courage.

Your bench is really taking off! I remember when getting the 135 up for the first time was a huge victory, and now look at you!

It is selfish of me to request that the snow stay with you and not come this way?

Damn N! Awesomesauce up in here. Nice rep PR’s, ya little bench monster. And may I say “bravo” for you grabbing your ovaries and getting through the blizzard to train, that kicks ass.

And maybe they should use my pic. I got one of lesser quality but more badassness from yesterday, now

BBQ Chicken FTW! (I made some last night as well)

Sounds like the changes you’re making to your bench for are starting to come together. Good job on the PRs!

Way to go making it to the gym too. I saw all the snow and wind you were getting in the east on the news - blahh! Keep warm!

Outstanding work on the PR’s I’m starting to get envious.

Fantastic work Mainy! You are absolutely killing it! Well done

Wow, great benching!

The deadlifts are already hella impressive, don’t be discouraged.

Print: as deadly as a japanese sushi knife

Kimba: I know! I hit that bench in January if my memory serves me correctly. Goes to show how much work really needs to go into these things before they take off and yet how quickly time flies.

Ink - is awesomsauce like BBQ sauce, cause I can dig that. And calling me a bench monster just cemented me as sistard. I’m all arms and no legs. But dammit I’m trying! My goal this year is to carve myself a pair a Alisa-Quads.

LS - I am a summer flower. Keeping warm is a constant occupation this time of year. But I shouldn’t complain I know you guys have it rougher. Funny thing is they had announced 2cm which transformed into 20cm. someone, somewhere, screwedup.

Joe - you can be envious when I beat you on the dips - which will happen like never.

Maschy- Hai! blushin you still throwing that avi around likes its nothing. gets me all hot and bothered every time.

Nikki - thanks for the positive words. My issue is that I was hitting the 265-280 with bad form. Kinda sucks that I’m less strong now that I’m forcing myself to do these properly…

Nice work on them deads, the bench is coming along nicely too. Who doesn’t love a P.R?? Great stuff. Very nice!
