I’ve committed myself to getting back into shape. Of course that may have something to do with have been married for the past 18 years now getting divorced and now living in a college town.
Although the thought of potentially doing any girl within a few years of my 15 year old daughter does kind of freak me out.
But anyway, having abusing myself over the past several years with 80 hour work weeks and very poor eating, I’m getting back to my studly roots.
Here’s my question. I’ve had blood work done and my t-levels are that of an 8 year old little girl. No seriously, low for me is supposed to be 400 and I’m at 180! I know, I know be careful you don’t have a heart attack yourself reading thatl. I know I almost did.
I’m getting all my nutritional ducks in a row so to speak and I’m wondering whether or not I should take any t-boosters like Alpha Male. Or should I just focus on the basics like the right proteins in the right amounts, the right fats etc. And I am going to take Biotest Flameout and the BCAA’s.
Should I start there and get that down to a science or should I go ahead and add a t-booster. I’m really adverse to getting the patch or anything like that. It seems weak to me. If I’m going to go in that direction I’ll just go the whole way and start cycling intelligently.
Nail a good diet, training both consistently and the Alpha Male and see what that does for the test results, get re tested. If no then your a clear candidate for HRT

Hey, Ranger, you dont give your age, but I’m and old Soldier (Nam’ Era) and have/am now cycling Alpha Male…Just do it and see if you are a responder, and listen to Bro’ Phill, he knows his schiess’…Drive on!..
Thanks for the responses guy. I’m 40. That’s pretty much why I got the physical. I never get sick, but I was having these emotional mood swings that were just ridiculous.
I cried because my dog caught and killed a bird! I mean I’m an animal lover, but I also understand the law of survival of the fittest. I even stopped my car to get a turtle out of the road. If I had sex once a week I was okay with that. And I used to border on sexaholics anonymous. I mean it was just nuts.
So things are starting to get better and I’ve scheduled a retest for 3 months from now. Do you think that’s enough time for the changes to be real inside of a blood test. I know that you can make some immediate changes but it doesn’t mean your body is really changing, just responding.
Warrior Sage, good to hear from you again. I have read your posts in the past and really like your POV. Like Phil alluded to try eliminating any estrogen elevating catalysts in the way of foods and or alcohol consumption. You are on the right path with your nutrtional changes, exercise, and adding Flameout in the mix.
I would definitely try Alpha Male which may give you what you are looking for. Again, like Phil said if that doesn’t do it for you other alternatives can be explored. The thing is Alpha Male may give just the production boost you are in need of without the higher end hassle and cost associated with HRT. If not then HRT is an option.
Did you get your ratios checked? Reason I ask is based on the symptoms you described your E may be out of wack.
Alpha Male is a good T-Booster. I wouldn’t cycle it all that much. Just stay on for a few months and also look at an Anti-E such as an Rez-V or Vitex.
After you have been eating well, laying off the alcohol and taking those supps. get that test done again. You do sound like a TRT candidate based on the levels you posted and issues you mentioned.

Thanks again for any feedback.

I cried when I read how 9 year old Jessica Lunsford was buried alive, after the beast raped her. She was clutching her little toy dolphin. That hit me HARD! Nothing wrong with shedding a tear…
Sorry to tell you this but you’ll need HRT. Alpha Male is for guys who’re mid-range and want to be near the top.
Your doc will prescribe a low dose of Androgel. All this will do is shut down what little production you have left. Your best bet is an anti-aging clinic that’ll get you on shots/arimidex. Google ‘Oasis HRT’.
Of course, you could also just buy some D-bol and do 20 mg (in tabs) a day for 3 weeks, and then do a month of PCT. Depends if you want to venture into the dark side…
Best of luck, from a guy who’s been down your road.
Thanks for the compliment Dedicated. I like to think with all my years of personal development training I’ve developed some solid organizing principles in my life.
Thanks also for the response. I don’t really drink. I might have a glass of beer or wine once month. But everything else is coming into focus with the nutrition and supplements.
I think I’m going the path of Chad Waterbury for training. Maintain any muscle I have and gain my strength back. I have his Muscle Revolution and am starting to figure out my 1RM this week.
Thanks for the input Headhunter. Actually your response is probably accurate. My ratios we screwed. My E was way high. I’m surprised I’m not speaking another octave or two higher! Anyway, I’ll google that link.
I am seriously considering the alternatives. I don’t have anything personal against it. To me it’s just taking advantage of smart chemistry. Just like taking a pain killer. It’s there, it works. Do it. Just be smart about it. Oh yeah, and no bitching if you fuck it up.
That being said if you have any resources I can explore, just PM me and I would be happy to listen.
I can understand why you’re stressing out. You may be a prime canidate for HRT, amd you may not be. What time of the day did you have your blood work done?
This is very important: testosterone peaks and drops in cyles during the day. It’s highest in the morning, and tends to drop later in the day. If your levels were checked first thing in the morning, and your total came back at 180 (I assume the 180 is your total test level), then you should look into HRT.
If you weren’t checked first thing in the morning, I recommend you get re-tested first thing in the morning. See what registers, and if it’s still low, go from there with whatever options you wish to explore.
If your total and free come back in normal levels, but you wish to raise them, then Alpha Male is probably a good choice. Anyway, I hope this helped in some way. Take care man.
Pheen11 that is a very good insight. I hadn’t thought about that. If I recall it was around 10 am. So it definitely wasn’t in the morning peak.
Still that’s pretty freakin’ low I have to say.
I’m going the way of Chad Waterbury for training and t-dawg diet to raise see if the high protein/low carb diet will contibute to the elevation of “t” and the reduction of bodyfat. Which of course in itself will help increase the testosterone. Isn’t is wild how all this stuff just wraps around itself!?
Again, and as usual, any and all feedback is appreciated.
