Today I went for the first time in a gym in the city where I study, and I must say that I’m feeling very lucky.
The gym has around 14 tons of bumper plates (really, not joking) and some of them are never used (around 2 tones of them are just in a closet with trophies). Figure that:)
It has 6 oly platforms, old school power rack, few barbell you only see in old books (bar with bells on each side) and the best part: a 32kg kettlebell, which goes way back than Pavel’s hype (has to be around 30 years old).
The best part is that the gym membership is only a half of what you usually have to pay in comercial gyms in this city.
Only around 20 people train there (always enough room to lift), and that brings up important question: why do people train in commercial gyms, where you pay twice as much…
Although I’ve worked jobs to buy my own stuff. Namely a bench press, power rack, texas power bar, back extension, adjustable DB’s cause 100 lb DB’s are FRIGGEN EXPENSIVEEE lol. Another barbell thats regular 45lb. Tons of weights (not bumper), and some homemade grip items, + a COC. Big stereo system, and 1 Purple band from elitefts lol. I’m jealous lol.
Although I love my gym, that feeling and that atmoshphere of somethin old school like that with all that stuff ALWAYS is the coolest shit in my head. Mmmmmm anyways. You made me depressed so now I must go eat lol (jk)
