Is my English that bad? Why are my post titles constantly being edited by the mods? What is wrong with quoting someone if you are speaking to them?
Your English is just fine. Weāve been editing thread titles for decades in an attempt to be informative, organized, and encourage discussion.
As for the automatic removal of quoted posts, weāll have to dig into that.
Thank you Mod_Phoenix for your attention to this subject. I feel at home here and when you guys or the AI modifies my posts I worry that I am not contributing to our membership as you would like. This forum has helped me so much over the years. Now I just want to return the favor. No pressure just offer choices.
If you quote the entire post and your reply is directly after the post you are quoting then the quote is removed because the post is right there and it is easier for people scrolling through the thread to read if the quote isnāt there
Iāve never had a thread title left unaltered
My next treat will be called:
Hey @Chris_Colucci - can you help with this please.
I am of course joking. My spelling, punctuation, grammar and over all command of English is genuinely poorer than my Greek friendās. Iām grateful for the help.
FYI - I am English. But in my defence - most English words are Greek any way. So he has a head start!
Iāve started to capitalize the first letter in every single word on my thread titles and that cut down the editing by like 90%
I try - but even as a native my written language skills are poorā¦
Itās kind of odd, but the expectation is your thread title uses ātitle caseā.
Fixed that for you.
Yep, thatās just house style and the majority of edits.
Beyond that, itās just clarifying titles relative to the thread content or tweaking them to be more specific. I canāt count how many different/identical āBloodwork Resultsā threads are in T Replacement, āProgram Help?ā threads in BSL or Beginners, āCycle Planā in Pharma, and āDiet Questionā threads in Supps/Nutrition.
