I noticed that some studies saying that the injectable version of Formestane is better than l-dex or femera since it doesn’t decrease IGF-1 levels and helps with progesterone sides.
The pharm version Lentaron I.M. Depot is pretty pricey and hard to find, but wouldn’t it be possible to use the raw powder and convert it to an I.M.
I am missing something here or is it that it just hasn’t been done yet?
PS - I didnt post this under steroids since many pro-hormones need anti-e’s to regulate sides.
Thanks for your thoughts…
Relative Potency of Type 1 & 2 Aromatase Inhibitors
Product Aromatase Inhibition (%)
Formestane 91.1%
Aromasin (Exemestane) 97.9%
Cytadren (Aminoglutethimide) 90.6%
Arimidex (Anastrozole) 96.7%
Femara (Letrozole) 98.7%
By the looks of it, Femara (Letrozole) is the strongest inhibitor.
But, there is a potential problem in that estrogen, and more so estradiol, can trigger GH release from the pituitary gland … this can effect IGF-1 production AND receptors (negatively OR positively). Take a look at the below chart:
How Various Estrogen Inhibitors & Blockers Effect IGF-1
Product Effect IGF-1
Formestane Increases 26%
Aromasin (Exemestane) Increases 28%
Cytadren (Aminoglutethimide) Increases 27%
Arimidex (Anastrozole) Decreases 18%
Femara (Letrozole) Increases 24%
Faslodex (Fulvestrant) Decreases 70%
Nolvadex (Tomaxifen) Decreases 23.5%
