Hey man, lifts look great. 200x9 on a front squat is a nightmare to hold onto, so you must have a strong upper back.
The only thing is get weightlifting shoes, i couldn’t tell if it was your camera or body, but your legs look extremely long, weightlifting shoes could help, but you don’t necessarily need them.
Great work man
I’m about 5’9" with a 34" inseam… I don’t believe that’s very tall or long-legged, so it must be the camera.
Much appreciated on the feedback. Any specific recommendations on shoes? I’ve been wearing Vibram FiveFingers for the past couple years. Casually and in the weight room.
I’m 6 foot 1 and have about a 30-31 inch inseam… you’ve got long legs and I’ve got short legs.
And vibrams should be fine for deadlifting.
Yeah I’m just the same on the leg front, 6’ (possibly a little bit over) and 30 1/2 in inseam. I do wonder what squatting must feel like for those 3+ inches shorter with the same or longer legs!
Just wondering, I use a “semi-sumo” style deadlift stance and it feels better than conventional, would this be expected with a long back, short legs and moderate arms? My deadlift has never been my best lift (about equal to squat or a few kgs above, raw w/o wraps).
No thread hijack intended
I switch back and forth between the styles myself, I have short arms and legs, so it’s a pretty rough lift for me that really drains me, I try not to deadliest intensely very often.
I’ve done semi sumo, but couldn’t set my back as well as with semi-sumo, but that was before, I think I’ll try semi sumo again tho
