YEAH I have the same good morning issue as you! My hamstrings can handle it, but my core doesn’t hold up!
Question, how straight do you keep your legs for your good mornings??

Not extremely straight. I kind of work into keeping them straighter as I go. The first one is almost like a romanian DL with the weight on my back, the last one of the set is always the straightest, but I always let my knees hinge a bit. I don’t think it’s ever good to keep the knees ram-rod straight while bearing weight.
Nice volume on those 160 LB DEADLIFTS!

Are you making fun of me? (Sorry I’m kind of sensitive about the weights right now. I used to be able to do 180lbs for 14 reps, so none of my weights are impressive to me and I’m kind of wondering if people are teasing) ![]()

Went to work for 5 hours, did homework while searching for glowing organelles in plant tissue, walked home, did yoga, and that was my day. Oh, and here is my complete valentine’s day gift
pretty awesome.
Breakfast: egg whites, cheese, veggies +20

OMG no! I thought I read you did a bunch of setd of eight? Or was it ten?
I’m running 5 3 1 and it looked like tons of reps to me. Girl you’re stronger than I am! LOL
And furthermore… DAT ASS!
Oh yeah, and for future warm ups, I’ll now be including back-bends. For the first time in my whole life, I found I was really struggling to hold one during yoga. It felt like my shoulders were going to give out, but I think that was related to lack of flexibility and not being able to arch my back as much as I used to. From now activating planks (pulling the stomach muscles in for counts of five and releasing for 5 for 1 minute plank) and back bends will be part of my warm up. I’m too young to have a tight, cranky back.

Thanks ![]()
5 3 1 worked really well for me and it looks like you’re making leaps and bounds off of it too. You’re def stronger than me! I can’t pull 205 right now. BTW, I have a high amount of slow twitch muscles- I could pull 195x5 for 3 sets without being able to pull 200 for several months! So my lower weight repage (I think I just made up a word) doesn’t translate like it should into a calculated max ![]()
I’m trying to cheat the 5 3 1 system and see if I can put on around 20 lbs on my current max in a month instead of 10. I’m sure I’ll plateau on this and be back on 5 3 1 in short order, but it’s worth a try.

I’m sensitive about my weights right now too! I never thought I would get so frustrated comparing myself to MYSELF, ha. But I dunno dude, you seem pretty strong to me already.
I’ll bettcha your weights will go up pretty darn fast.
That’s one hell of a gift ![]()
Spock81- I know, right! I think between the eating contest helping me remember to eat (always a problem during school time. I get down to eating two small meals a day during stressful times) and my new home workout stuff, I’ll be able to get back to where I was within a few months. crosses fingers
Kalle- Thanks
He’s the best (and he also gets a kick out of me posting up those pictures, kind of like the sexy wives and girlfriend’s thread). I told him this will probably work out better for him in the long run than the boob implants he bought his first girlfriend. lol.
And here is one of the best bbq sauce recipes I’ve found in a long time:
I’m thinking it would be especially good with potatoes, carrots, and chicken baked all together in the oven.
All I know is I think you and Hallowed are conspiring against me with the pics and trying to “distract” me from the contest…
Cheaters.

SHHH!!! You aren’t supposed to know that!
So total tangent: my abs are sore. They recovered for two days before I hit them again with my workout the day before yesterday and now they’re complaining again. Looking back, I’ve never had a specific ab day and I think my abs might actually be behind everything else.
crosses fingers for 6-pack by birthday on April 1st

Just for BBB.
OLEENA!!! You look fantaszmo!!!
ORGANELLES!! I wanna look in 'scopes at pretty stuff!!! At my work all I ever get to look at is poop, pee, and blood.OH, and ear smears or exudate… No pretty plants :{
You look fantastic! Hard work is definately showing/the contest is being good to you. Keep on keepin’ on!

Your body swoons me. True story!
Brute- Thank you
I find everything far more interesting under a microscope than it probably should be. I remember have a conversation with a girl a while back about how you get this uncontrollable urge to look at gross things from your body under a microscope, like toe nail fungus. Once, a disgusting, terrible result of bad hygiene. Now, a bacteria scavenger hunt. lol. I’m guessing you’re a vet tech or something like that? BTW, I’ve noticed a ton of women on here seem to be involved in the sciences. What is it about lifting and science that go together?
GuerillaZen- Thanks! Haven’t seen you around before. Do you keep a log around here?
Hallowed- Aw
the feeling is mutual. We’re just one big party of awesome.
Today was one of those days where I meant to do a lot, did nothing, and had a wake up call that I’ve stopped using a scheduler the way I should. 2busy’s comment in the Forever Alone Eating Contest thread about spreadsheets reminded me that google also has a calendar scheduling thingy. I’m going to start using that, in addition to putting my points into a google spreadsheet. I <3 google!
