For the Rest/Down Week.......

How do you guys go about this week after tranining for a high intensity for 3-4 weeks and easing it down a week for recovery?

Do you Bring down the volume of your workouts or intensity? should i do lighter weight or less sets and reps?

Im on a split routine and was wondering what was the best method of getting the best benefits from a down week of training…

If you are taking a down week I would keep the intensity the same and drop a couple sets. So for instance if you are doing back squats for 5x5 with 225 lbs, keep the load the same but reduce sets to 2 or 3. That’s just me personally, I like to lift as heavy as usual but quit before I start getting into real hard sets.
