for Charles Staley--clarification question

Charles,
I read your EDT strength article and I’m not clear on something. You wrote about a combination of Zercher and back squats in the first PR zone:

“Start with a comfortably-challenging load for 5x3 in 15 minutes… Try to increase total number of singles during weeks 2-4.” Does this mean complete 5 sets of triples, then add singles for the 15 minute period?

You also write “Alternate between the following two movements in EDT style” and then
“Back Squats…for one set to technical failure.” Do you want us to do just one set of back squats after all the Zerchers, or actually alternate between exercises? Thanks. Can’t wait to try it.

P.S. Out of curiosity, is the use of singles in the first PR zone on upper body days to provide a contrasting stimulus throughout the week?
