For those that do some form of fasting, do you think you have trained your body to not be hungry until a certain time?
I’m hungry when I wake up…but I dowse that hunger with coffee then I go off to the gym. I have a snack and a big meal after.
Same goes for ‘eating by the clock.’ I used to this a couple years ago, and like clockwork I was hungry every 2 hours. It was annoying.
Personally, I’d rather eat bigger meals and let my brain be the guide of when I’m hungry, not the clock. But I also end up eating less this way I think. How do I get the best of making sure my cals are good but also go my natural instinct to eat when I want?
I really believe in eating when hungry/stopping when satisfied. But I think I’ve trained myself to eat like a turtle this way.

I think its something you get used to. I had a hard time fasting until noon at first, but now I sometimes go as late as 2 without eating just because I don’t feel like it until then. I haven’t exactly been IFing, but I do get a majority of my cals in 2-3 large meals usually between noon and 10pm.
I like eating a few big meals a day much more than little ones every 2-3 hours. I’m too lazy for that shit. I also feel more satisfied and I am less likely to overeat (unless I accidentally go waaaay too long between big meals).

Are you also tracking food though??
Yeah. I log my food on my “My Net Diary” app every day. I don’t really plan meals, but what I eat and how much I eat depends on where I’m at.
I feel like when I do the every 2 hours thing, I have to do a lot more prep, my blood sugar is more of an issue, and I’m more likely to find myself starving toward the end of the day with no calories left.
No I feel ya. I’ve been “IF’ing”(Skipping breakfast) for a long time, lol.
Sometimes if I’m really famished I’ll have some food in the A.M.
But only now have I been tracking cals. I found when I just ate whatever/whenever I was eating like a turtle. Not ENOUGH. So I’m focusing on still sticking how I feel I should eat but also being weary of cals.
this probably makes no sense. I understand it in my head, LOL!

I initially watched the movie “Food Matters” and that changed everything for me food wise anyway, then came the forks over knives and others but… Eating a diet that is full of natural unprocessed ingredients, I feel better, weight fell off me, more energy. I probably am a little anal, in fact a lot anal about what I eat, no sugar, gluten refined or unprocessed ingredients, but It works for me.
I’m behind, I feel like I saw single serve nutella in here. I will catch up tonite, in delight.

I don’t have a fancy phone either. No fancy data plan, no option to download apps, etc. I like it that way. hmph!
I use fitday.
For what it’s worth, I budget to have a fancy phone. It’s something I want so I sacrifice other things that I want for it. Being in school for fucking ever means that I have no money.
