Food choices- massive eating

Don’t you think it’s hard to make meals that are protein+carbs and protein+fats, fats and carbs excluded? Take cottage cheese for example, 500 g = 450 kCal, 70 g protein, 10 g fat, 18 g carbs… it also induces a large insuline response… sounds ideal for fat storage. Care to share some usual food combos with me? Can I incorporate some veggies, like couple hundred grams in my protein+fat meals?

No, I think it’s pretty easy actually… I just find it hard not to want to eat the fat and carb meals! Here are some meals I’m eating … I wish I could attach my spreadsheet for you…

CARBS + PROTEIN: Meal Replacement Shake, Skim Milk, Banana (56g protein, 82g carbs, 1.5g fat, 565 cals); 3/4 cup rice, 1/2 can tuna, 1/3 can corn, splash of teryaki sauce (30.5g protein, 100g carbs, 2.75g fat, 552.5 calories).

PROTEIN + FAT: 1 can tuna and mayo (45g protein, 0 carbs, 35.5g fat, 375 calories); 4 whole eggs, 2 slices cheese, 1 tbsp. butter (36g protein, 6g carbs, 41g fat, 560 calories).

So, anyway, hope this helps. I’m up to 3,000 calories a day and still told I eat like a girl. Working on upping it!!!

GrowtH: Could you post some more of your combinations? I am very interested in what you have to share, along with anyone else who wants to contribute. Thanks! -Epitome

Sasa, here are my food combos:

P+C:
Egg whites,oatmeal
Chicken breast,white pasta
Raw egg whites+skim milk mix,apples
Tuna in water,whole grain bread
Protein powder,fruit juice
(A liter of very low fat milk may be a good choice,if it wasn’t for that high insulin index)

P+F: Tuna in olive oil Not-so-lean meat Whole eggs, veggies

This may look boring, but I don't really give a damn as long as it fuels my body properly. You can incorporate veggies, but be careful as some of those (carrot) have high GI.I don't know about insulin index, though.

BTW Did you live somewhere abroad? Your english is really something.

Dude, do you really need it spelled out? F-A-T F-R-E-E Cottage cheese.

Guy’s, according to the amount of calories I have to consume and my insulin insensitivity I should take in 525g Protein per day. Does anyone think that this is excessive and is there a limit of how much protein I could consume at one meal?

Draz, no,I didn’t live abroad, eventhough I was born in Holland (hi’s and ho’s to all Dutch people on this board, especially if someone’s from Vlissingen  and spent some time in East Berlin when there was still East Germany. I can speak German too, but it’s much worse than my English due to lack of real-life use. I owe it mostly to the movies, media and Internet. I work for German software company in Rijeka and use English in everyday correspondence. If I may notice, your English is far from average too. Anyway, I will start Delta 1250 from Monday and I will also incorporate some guidelines from the Massive Eating, that’s why I asked this question. I know about carrot’s high GI. Anyway, I don’t think it will be detrimental to the whole scheme if a couple of carbs squeeze by. It’s good that I like fat+protein based food and don’t have problems eating it - some people couldn’t eat tuna in oil without bread for example - you know how people in Croatia eat tons of bread with every meal… Today I saw on the Internet Monitor results of a research showing that 1/3 of Croatian population is obese. Great. :frowning:
