fantastic! 1 teacher, 2 students and one big heated pool. We spent time on perfecting our buoyancy and learning to navigate with a compass under water and a quick refresher on emergency procedures. we were in the pool by 8:30 and next thing I knew it was 10:30 and time to wrap it up. the real challenge will be tomorrow when we go dive in the quary. we have 3 dives planned and the weather is very cool up here now so it won’t be a party.
Heya! Scuba’s been on my to-do list since I moved to cali. How are you liking it? Should I sign up?

Love it and all I’ve done so far is the pool and a cold gloomy quarry with not much to see. Can’t imagine how cool it would be out in Cali. My one concern is that I had not realized how much I would be spending on this total.
1- books
2- classes
3- certifications
4- rental gear
5- obligatory gear purchases such as fins, snorkel, mask, night light, glow stick…
6- replacement items for gear that I broke or lost…
However with this advanced class I’ll be certified for 100 feet, and I’ll know how to plan wreck dives and night dives which is pretty cool. Time-wise I’ve taken the intensive classes which meant 2 theory/ pool practice nights and a weekend intensive certification in open waters.
up at 4 am with insomnia because I’m pissed off at my boss. When I didn’t phone back within 30 minutes (with a valid excuse) he actually called my home. I couldn’t beleive it. Complete lack of respect for my private life and he’s done it numrous times before. This is the last straw. I will see him Monday and tell him that I draw the line at calling my place unless my cell is broken and I’ve given him permission.
I’ve been through some shit over the years but this takes the cake. I actually didn’t call back because of that. Let’s see what he says on Monday. Send me some good vibes peeps so I can get my message accross without too much bitching.

Insomnia sucks. I know it well.
My wife struggled for 2 years with a bad boss. She resigned last week and she seems so much lighter without that burden. Of course, she needs to find something else or we are eating beans. Minor issue.

I was just going to say if she’s never farted, she’s not trying hard enough I had to go off Red River cereal after a recent run.
I love the mermaid picture. That’s exactly the form I’d look for doing embroidery. It’s very feminine and sensual. It sort of puts me in mind of some of the stuff done by Klimt; not mermaids but the apparent love of the female form.
