Focus on the Essential

So today was a tough one. Started at 7am and finished at 6:30pm without much of a break. Drove 350km, booked some decent orders and did some house work and groceries. I finally sat down at 8pm. I have my lap top on my porch with the crickets and a nice honey lager. I have a feeling it will be an early night tonigh.

If you are having anxiety on the DL lock out, I’d do some rack or box pulls. Just going heavier than you’re accustomed to and locking it out gives you a better feel for the weight. I find I sometimes fail because the weight is heavier than I’m used to and it came up faster than I was expecting and I get scared of the momentum. Maybe that’s not what you meant but they’re a ton of fun regardless. You should also get a belt. They add security and they are an awesome accessory.

at what hight do you set up your rackpulls Ouro?

dats a long day! enjoy the beer and the early night!

try your rack pulls with the bar at the top of your kneecap to work lockout. going below the knee is more like working a sticking point midway off the floor and is typically harder than pulling from the floor where above the knee is easier than pulling from the floor

See, I pull from just below the knee but that’s because I pull off wooden boxes and they are a fixed height. Mind you, I also pull in a sumo stance since that’s how I pull off the floor and I can move the boxes out as far as I need. I can get a lot more up doing it sumo than conventional at that height. It just sort of pops up easily.

Fuck your deadlift, and Fuck your push-press.

But seriously, those lifts are AMAZING!!! I can’t believe the progress you’ve made, and I can’t wait to see how far you take it!

Hope you’ve had a more restful day today.

Let me put it this way than. Your numbers have grabbed my attention as much as your pics have. Strong women are a turn on.

Maybe we need a drink off… Frenchie-Canadian vs DirtFloorCracka. Libation of your choice of course.

No problem nlmain, just doing my part

Boy, you’ve gotten popular.

But you deserve it. Your lifts have skyrocketed. And the vids you have posted have demonstrated such progress.

Keep it up.

wow, I overdid the sushi and now I’m pukey like hell. my usual meds aren’t working and I can barely tolerate the hot water :(. ugh. I might need someone to hold my hair back and not for any fun reasons…

nice deadlifts!! :D!!

I predict that three wheel will come quite fast with a belt!! :D!!!

Feel better nlmain!

Oh that stinks about the sushi, hope you are feeling better soon.

Hope you’re feeling better!

sushi puke. yum!

stayed up from 12:30-2am, went back to bed after feeling somewhat better but still up at 7am for work. It was another long one today 9-7pm and 250 km including tons of traffic. just glad to be home. man I’m so ready for my vacay.

Yay for vacay! Hope you get all the sushi-sickness out quickly. In fact, by the time you read this, be better, k?

I’m late to the DL PR party but nicely done. Strong is sexy.

How long until Cozumel?

Cozumel ain’t until my b-day week - last week of January. But that gives me plenty time (hopefully) to get all my certifications done before then, especially with work and all.

and yeah! for my diving classes - going through my first intensive weekend tonight through saturday. This is only sit in class theory but still it’s a first step towards my dream/goal so it’s all good.

Leaving Monday for my cottage trip, hiking until saturday. was planning to go to Temiscamingue but that fell through so we ended up renting a cottage in the Gaspe national park - major mountains, just beautiful. I’ve been there before and have been wishing to go back so it’s all good. Hiking in nature will do my soul some major good. I’ll be ready to kick butt on my return.
