flaxseed oil questions

Just picked up some flaxseed oil.

Now what do I do with the stuff?!?!?

cook with it? Just down a tbsp of it? put it over my chicken?

Also, what exactly is it supposed to do/prevent? Why flaxseed? Sure is expensive, how about vs. safflower oil etc?

parrothead, whatever you do don’t cook with flaxseed oil. You can put it in salads or mix it with other foods, like chicken, but it tastes really bad. I mix it with my Grow shakes and sweeten with Splenda. It’s the only way I can down it.

Flax is an excellent source of omega 3s, but it doesn’t convert well to EPA and DHA. Make sure you take a fish or salmon oil supplement as well.

Safflower oil contains omega 6s. If you want to use it, make sure you buy one that is cold-pressed. Typically, you won’t find cold-pressed oils in the supermarket. You have to get them at the natural foods store.

you can mix it with shakes or take it straight. be sure to take it with some food or it will upset your stomach. You can’t cook with it buy the way.

What to do with flax??? What CANT YOU DO… put it in your MRP, put it down your hatch, wash your car with it… no, dont do that. Just mix it in with an MRP or something… as I said before.

As for safflower oil… that is the best form of CLA… Tonalin uses safflower… if you see it mixed with Sunflower oil… meh, poop it, its not as good. as for the price, go on line and you can find some good deals.

But… if you are taking pills, (1000mg) use 6 a day, 3 in the am, 3 in the pm… or 2 2 2… confusing? yes… why? i have to pee.

Dont cook with it. You will ruin it.

It is great with mrp’s, and such as stated by everyone else. Also good on salads.

It is’nt going to make you blow up and GROW huge or anything, it is going to give you a good source of omega 3’s.

I just down a tablespoon with my morning coffee. Just make sure to follow it with something that has a strong enough taste to mask it ie. not water.

Intramuscularly, 25g needle in your glute 3cc at a time, that way you’ll bypass the liver and ensure 100% efficacy. Oh sorry wrong section…

Don’t drink 2 tbsp at once raw whatever you do. It makes me quite nauseous. I can only stomach 1 tbsp at a time and it’s best in a shake

As said earlier, do not cook with it. Put a TBS in your protein shakes or just take it straight up. Look into getting the ground flaxseeds, since these contain the EFA’s and fiber and protein.

By the way, Flax oil should’t be THAT expensive. Shop around.
