Just a quick dumb question because I want to be sure.
I am about to buy supplies for fat fast and I notice a cuple flax seed oils that say flax seed meal. It doesnt show a description but I am assuming flax seed oil is flax seed oil isnt it? I am looking at Bob’s Red Mill brand. Theres no description at all so just wanted to be sure.
No, meal is ground up flax seeds - powder.

The flax oil you buy should be in a black container and be in the fridgerator when you buy it. it shouldn’t ever get warm, cuz it will oxidize and become rancid fast. (cold pressing should be on the label). flax seeds are good on their own but you should grind them yourself with a little coffee grinder and not buy already ground ones, they’re rancid if they sit on a shelf ground up, at room temp. you can put them in smoothies and such. flax oil is good on salads but don’t cook with it. hope i’m not just saying things you knew already…
