Yeah, I also get irritated when the word ā€œprescribedā€ is used.

Either you guys live on Elm Street or your other half has a bottle of roofies stashed away for times when you piss her off.

Occam’s Razor.

This is the off topic section in a fitness forum discussing the fitness industry. I don’t have to make any sense.

Confession:

My gym was finally allowed to open and they decided this would be great time to start renovations so they’re going to close for a month after opening up for 2 weeks.

For the last few years training has sucked in August. It’s too hot, I can’t eat or drink enough, blah blah blah.

Moving forward, I may plan ā€œAugust Offā€ and just take a yearly break for a month.

I confess that after curing and sometimes smoking my own salmon, idk if I can go back to packaged, store bought smoked salmon slices

When my mom comes to visit, she brings Fairway smoked salmon - they smoke the fish there, and slice it up for you, super-thin, and package it up for you right there. Just incredible - I’ve had home-smoked salmon and it doesn’t come close to this good. The pre-packaged stuff is trash.

In fact, she just visited, and here are the last two slices!

yeah, that’s definitely worlds better than my homemade stuff, especially considering my improvised setup and sub par slicing skills
Unfortunately, we don’t have this where I’m at in FL

Even if you could, you might not be getting it often - it’s $39.52/lb. She brings a half pound and that’s plenty, haha. New York poppy bagels, fresh-made cream cheese and fairway lox - the best breakfast there is.

!!! yeah, I can’t afford that

Just last night an old buddy of mine started posting vids of pizza tasting up on Long Island.

I’ve heard a lot of good about NY pizza, but only from natives. Now he’s giving them big thumbs ups, :+1:so it must be true.

Please, please, PLEASE tell me there were people in the car.

The idea of this got an actual laugh out of me, and I must insist that if there were NOT, that @SkyzykS find a car with people in it tomorrow and repeat the action.

I am once again reminded how awesome it is to not own a lot of stuff.
I just finished packing for return to school. Took me less than an hour and I managed to fit all my clothes for the school year+masks+protein powder+personal hygiene products+ shoes+books+some cooking equipment in a large suitcase and a carryon sized suitcase

Oh dude that breakfast sounds so good, I’m hurting for some bagels now

It’s honestly out of this world. I can put away 3 full bagels - I have to stop myself at 2.

@SkyzykS yeah, there are great pizza places on LI. You can’t just go to any place, as there are definitely crappy ones, but the good ones are a step above most of the rest of the country. New Jersey has a bunch of good spots too, and surprisingly enough, New Haven, Connecticut has places that can give any place in NY a run for their money.

Flame free: deep dish Chicago pizza is trash.

Well…

I’m not actually the most outgoing person irl. But since this is one of those things that can go either hilariously well or I’m posting a selfie of me flexing/getting pepper sprayed. So I’ll maybe try. Or it will at least be on the list of things to attempt.

I’ve never understood the appeal of pizza.

I do have immense respect for housemade red sauce recipes though

Not wrong. Couldn’t understand what all the commotion was about after I moved here. There is one - and only one - that is totally worth it: Pequod’s
