Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 2)

If i could add a third, it would be a big flat chopper for better processing speed, but agreed with your first two.

Do you whetstone your knives or use one of those automatic ‘pull through’ sharpeners?

Definitely still cool

Just “finished” Brawn. By Stuart McRoberts.

Not what I was expecting. No real workouts in there BUT info on how to plan your own work outs. Long term.
Some stuff I love. Some I’m not so sure on.

Confession there is one part I love.
One of the ultra abbreviated full bodywork outs is:
Exercise 1 - Squat
No exercise two.

The whole point if the book being - if you are doing that right you might not have enough in you to do anything else.

I love it

I confess there is no better way to tell the day to get f**ked than deadlifting this at 0400 for 10x10 without making a sound since the family is still sleeping

Now that I have a semblance of a social life and am reevaluating the status of “econ discussion guy”, I am starting to understand why ppl struggle with the food budget.

It’s getting increasingly hard to come up with excuses not to eat out. I can’t justify spending $15 on a meal I could make at home, especially since $15 is enough for 1/2 month worth of meat

I do confess that I agreed to brunch with behavioural econ friend. He just came back from visiting grad schools.
Now econ discussion guy want to get dinner next week… IDK how to respond.

@Andrewgen_Receptors frivolous spending much??

You are paying for the experience: not the food. That might help

I could go for a grilled cheese sandwich right now.

Nothing wrong with frivolous spending as long as you fit it in your budget

The real question is how come @T3hPwnisher @twojarslave and @FlatsFarmer have not made an April Fools joke yet. (Heh heh I tagged them because they are big funny)

Also ironically this kinda ruins the chances of there being one.

Here’s some wildly irresponsible financial advice. Spend your first money on friends and family.

I’m certain you’ll be very successful later in life so there will be ample time to buy stuff for yourself.

But that feeling of buying a present for your parents with money that’s not indirectly theirs, or treating your cash-strapped college friends to something luxurious (well, luxurious for broke college students), even if the actual amount is small will stay with you (and with them) for decades.

Whetstone and a steel.

I also think that good quality restaurant suppy knives are plenty for the home chef.

The reason is rather unfunny. It is first quarter financial close and I’m too busy to screw around on the internet at work.

I legit despise the idea of pranks because it’s simply a matter of relying on someone trusting you and then revealing to them that they were a fool to have done so. As a misanthrope, that’s not a joke: that’s a fact.

I like comedy because it relies on the unexpected as far as a narrative goes, but using it on a person spoils it.

I’m just too bummed out right now for jokes.

I confess 4/1 day ranks right down there with valentine’s day.

I was having a pretty in-depth discussion with a couple coworkers recently about the ultimate sandwich and we landed on a tie between a PB&J and a Grilled Cheese.

I confess that while it’s a close call, I think PB&J’s win and the only reason most people aren’t crazy about them as adults is because they spent years of their life eating it every day - a true testament to its greatness.

I’m not a fan of either PB or J, whereas i think melted cheese (real cheese, not that MacDonalds shit), is the closest thing we have to Ambrosia in the modern world. Long story short: you and your coworkers are wrong.
