Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 2)

He’s a liar too.

He only gained half the recommended amount.

20lbs is the number I always heard.

That’s even more depressing :joy:

Arms are overrated. Get giant delts that overpower them.

Done. Still want some big arms though.

@wanna_be it seems in my 15 lbs of weight gain, my arms are about 1/2" bigger :frowning:. It is mostly water weight, but that seems to have only gone to my stomach and face. One of these days you will see you just need to get into strength sports where it doesn’t matter the size of the arm, just the weight lifted. Well that’s true for the competition, depression resides outside of competing.

Man, that’s awesome you got giant delts. I’m still working on that. All I’ve managed is big.

Well, giant is subjective. Gym folk comment on my delts and back being big a lot more than other body parts. I’d say they are big compared to my biceps and triceps.

I gained 20 pounds and about an inch and a quarter on my arms. Then I gained another 10 pounds with no significant arm growth.

I have a North Face, Carhartt and Columbia jacket. The Columbia adds like 3 inches to my arms.

Absolutely. I’m not ready to call my delts giant. It’s awesome you got there!

I am trying to be more body positive.

I treat my body way too harshly to get away with that

You need to be working at more like RPE 9 if you wanna grow.

Got a dumb question, so I post where I can’t be flamed.

Would cooking liver and onions in an air fryer create an odor? I have no idea if liver gives off an odor when cooking. I’m familiar with onions.

I ask because my Mrs, by her own admission, “eats with her nose” and is very sensitive to smells. I have no intention of serving her liver…but I’m curious if this is a dish I have to make when she’s out of the house.

I haven’t used an air fryer for it, but I did liver and onions in a cast iron pan a couple months back and the smell was fine. The onion, garlic, and aromatics really over powered the smell of the meat. YMMV due to different cooking equipment.

yes. Quite a strong one. The air fryer is a convection oven so the air circulates the smell around, which gets released when you open the air fryer (I’ve tried it and my little bro was NOT amused) If you are really inclined to cook liver, soaking it in milk helps a bit.

with that said, air fried liver isn’t good. Too easy to over cook. Pan frying produces more consistent results IMO (use a non-stick or well seasoned cast iron if you don’t want to add fat)

Much appreciated anna. I’m not cooking it for the taste, so it not being good isn’t a concern.

@mr.v3lv3t Appreciate the info.
