What. Knowing I can look like Mike O’Hearn is enough for me. Don’t need to be Mr. O size.
Surely one needs to work their ass off to achieve a physique like Mike’s.

And how did he get to be the gold standard for being not on steroids?
You guessed it…
… Steroids.

And duck eggs. Of course.
That’s not even what I’m talking about…
You got younger guys jumping on allot of gear just to achieve mediocre numbers. Because of the whole natty or not mentality has created that mind set.
Really you need Tren to hit a 315lbs bench? That type of shit…
Just saying it’s one thing in having unrealistic expectations based on trying to emulate certain individuals. But it can be just as bad for someone starting out going into it with low expectations also.
ohhhh boyyyyy
I showed this to my grandparents and they were like “now you see why we think that Americans are all either stupid or greedy capitalists” ![]()
Note: duck eggs sell at the wet market for less than $2/dozen
I will never not share this
Also: I confess to watching that new zombie film on Netflix and really enjoying it. Army of the dead?
I agree. A lot of people assume it is all gear. I know some very strong natural lifters. One guy in mind can total over 1700 at 198 natty. Most guys on gear never get near those numbers. Genetics, training, nutrition, and recovery are underestimated by many lifters. Most would just assume this guy is on the sauce because he is so strong, and pretty damn jacked.
Yep… exactly.
And anymore it’s not that hard for someone getting labeled that.
Can’t be this. I have watched every youtube video on training there is and read all the E-books on HIT techniques.

I really like his fundamental attitude and direction on bigger stronger type stuff in general.
I think another overlooked factor is specificity. This guy I mentioned is a powerlifter. If your typical big box gym BBer saw this guy lift, they would be on average blown away. I am thinking that he is squatting and deadlifting hundreds of lbs more than they do on average. They think this guy must be sauced to the gills to be so strong. It is just so out of the realm of lifts they would ever see.
I confess I have been putting off this surgery for 15 years (yes, I had them worse before lifting…riddle me that…) and will continue to do so until the inconvenience, recurrence, and pain break me.
Apparently the risk for major hemorrhage is non trivial. Happened to my friend’s mum
Huh, that’s disconcerting. Oh well, it’ll add another layer of nerves for heavy deadlifts. I could break a PR or I could explode from my sphincter. Or I could do both. Pretty metal if you ask me.
I was talking about the surgery
Well that makes me feel slightly better. Hope everything was alright with your friend’s ma.
She survived…
Googles
Florida Man makes beer run with live gator in hand
oh most defiantly…
especially true if these individuals don’t have much of a direct strength component in what they do or treat it as a complete after thought,
Plus it doesnt hurt the guy in questions based on the numbers you stated is on the high end of the genetic scale.
