Confession: I don’t understand all the rage about cottage cheese. It’s tasteless

What’s it good with for a sandwich?

Do you want to put it on a sandwich? Because I’ve never heard of any good sandwiches with cottage cheese, haha.

I only use it when making scrambled eggs. My grandma has eaten a bowl of it with a clementine almost daily as part of her breakfast for probably 30+ years. It’s not bad but not good.

Not really. I’m happy with cream cheese and other usual stuff.

I just remember seeing it quite often here in the forums so I got curious about it and bought some. To be fair, I did just buy a packaged Lucerne one, so I dunno if the ā€œreal thingā€ or fresh is better

Damn! Granny’s getting swole with that breakfast :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: protein and fats from the cottage cheese + carbs and vitamins from the fruit

It’s funny how some old people eat healthy without trying

Did you see the sodium content of it though? It’s not necessarily the healthiest of things in that regard

What’s with people and sodium, you need sodium

I took to mixing cottage cheese with PB fit powder. It’s not bad.

I can eat it by itself - definitely don’t find it tasteless, BUT-
(posted this before)
scrambled eggs, spinach leaves, avocado, cottage cheese, sriracha - bomb breakfast bowl.

Are you talking about cottage cheese? Packaged? I think it’s supposed to come in a container…

@aldebaran I was referring to the granny @anna_5588 mentioned. Probably not a good idea for her to get too much sodium

@flappinit thanks! I’ll try it out when I get my hands on some avocados

@Frank_C sorry, yeah I meant container

You made me fear that there was some horrid powdered version that required you to add water and stir.

Good point, Greek yogurt would probably be a better choice, but it’s damn expensive

Aldis. Their Greek yogurt is pretty cheap and good. Comes in at 12 g. / 5 oz. container, and I think their unflavored large tubs are like 17g / per serving.

Like 55-70 mg. of sodium.

The 2% small curd is disgusting, but 4% large curd is okay. Especially with pineapple chunks.

Our family friends came over after dinner and brought over dry rubbed baby back ribs.
I had 5 (about 1/2 rack)
Confession: I’ve spent the last 15min trying to find a calorie count :joy::joy: I’ve settled with 600, but if I’m honest, the real number is probably close to 800- I just don’t want to accept that
Now I just want to cry and go ā€œfuck itā€ @EmilyQ @T3hPwnisher pls help
